Family who own couldnt do enough for us. Food was lovely. Beautiful setting. Property needs a little TLC xx
Pros:

Beautiful setting.

Cons:

Wasp nest outside our window in the eaves so had to keep window closed as wasps entered our room. Mirror held together with sellotape. Curtains needed more hooks as gaping. TV did not work.

Absolute farce
Pros:

The photo shopped photos of the room I booked were nothing like the cupboard I was expected to sleep in! Like being catfished. The whole place was dirty and smelled extremely bad.

Cons:

The staff had no clue and palmed me off with a different room to the one I booked. One towel between 2 people. You couldn't even walk around the bed the room was that small. I don't think hygiene is a word that is understood

Superb.
Pros:

The inn is superbly situated in a wooded valley near to an old bridge. My room was very elegant with louvred windows opening onto a fern covered wall, immaculately clean with an en-suite bathroom. There is a restaurant open until 20.30 with a large and interesting menu. The food was excellent, though quite expensive.
The room price for one person was £38 which by Dartmoor standards is incredibly good value.

Cons:

The wi fi system seems not to work in the bedroom.

Double room was clean and comfortable
Pros:

Very clean and comfortable and the staff welcoming.

Cons:

The only slight gripe was some kind of boiler or something made a bit of a noise in the night which disturbed my sleep a couple of times.

A premier inn would have been a lot better
Pros:

The bed was very comfortable

Cons:

I can’t tell you about the other rooms as I didn’t see them but room 2 was tiny and not shown in any of the photos. There was room for the bed and just enough space to squeeze around it. The bed was comfortable but there was nowhere to put your bag or hang your clothes. There was one hand towel and one larger towel between two of us. The shower was tiny. There were no curtains just shutters which didn’t shut out the light completely. It was so cold I had to wear my cardigan in bed. And I was awake half the night because of random noises in the night. I didn’t pay much for the room but significantly more than I’ve paid for premier inn rooms but premier inn rooms are significantly better. There didn’t seem to be any option to buy breakfast.

I enjoyed my stay and the food was excellent .
Pros:

Nice location although difficult to find due to poor road signage. Staff were lovely and helpful and food was good.

Cons:

Not exactly disability friendly as no non slip mats in bath so I found it time consuming to get out of bath.
