Stayed for a herbal medicine course up the road. A Lovely building and good location. Food was beautifully made, I had the classic burger and the black chicken curry which was yum, others also highly rated the curries/food here. Staff are helpful and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. Bath room was clean with toiletries. I will be staying again. Thank you
Friendly and thoughtfully hoste welcoming at the start. Room was spot on soft matress and duck down fether pillows made for a comfortable night's sleep. Intimate bathroom was clean and the water was hot perfect for showering the day off read to set down for the night. How ever the food is what sent this place out of this world the starters were full of flavour, presented with passion and set the stage ready for the main course which only got better from there. Each mouth full a delight to the palette, the steak was cooked to exactly how I asked was tender, juicy and full of flavour seasond home cooked chips were crispy and fluffy and tastefully seasoned even the salad which I normally dodge came with it own tasteful dressing which made me unable to pass it by, finally the desert sorry no picture due to being so well presented and I was unable to stop my self devouring before my partner could take a picture was pure delight from start to finish. Breakfast which of course has to be a full English was exactly the same as the meal the night before tasty cooked just right and disappeared very quickly. Great selection of drinks alcoholic and non, the decoration is perfect for its location with an open fire to finish it all off. We will definitely be back again.

Toilet didn't work in the room, however I was advised of this on arrival. I was able to deal with this (literal) inconvenience as there was a container for water under the basin.
Only stayed one night whilst travelling through. Accommodation was fine for this one of occasion. Staff helpful and friendly. No problems, I would stay again. Thankyou.

It always has hot water and good water pressure.
There was TV in the room, but no remote. The carpet was super dirty. There was a wasp nest outside the window so I couldn't open the window. The bin in the bathroom wasn't changed and the general cleanness of the bathroom was questionable.

The owner was really helpful when I struggled parking one night. Plenty of character at this property. Bed was comfy. Wi-Fi was decent. Bottle of water in room. Shower pressure and temp was ok.
Mould in bathroom on ceiling. Cracked tiles all over. Toilet took 10 attempts to flush. Carpet looked like it needed a good hoover. Room was not the cleanest. Wasps in room if windows left open. Room wasn’t cleaned or towels changed in 4 nights. Only 1 towel and bathmat left. No info in room about anything. Decor was shabby.
Rural location
Everything was small. The stairs, I bumped my head twice. The bed, we kept on bashing each other, it also had a footboard and being tall I was kicking my feet, or curling up to avoid that and bumping my wife. The bath was small, length wise, but also being a loft conversion, tucked in the slope of the roof, so I couldn't stand up to shower. 2. Nobody on reception after 8h30 and nobody there before 10h00. Another couple were trying to check out and had to shout to get someone to attend to them. 3. We didn't stay the second night.
It was in a useful location
Staff weren't very helpful and the rooms were quite old (e.g. missing bits of carpet) and not entirely clean.
Free parking. Quiet location, fresh air.
