The Zen House Sapa

We absolutely loved our stay at the Zen House. The owners, Summer and Blue, and the rest of their team were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Before we even arrived, Summer sent us a message with information about Sapa and the homestay. The homestay is in perfect location and distance away from town and the views are incredible. The rooms were spacious, the toilets and showers were clean, warm and powerful and the food was excellent. It says a lot about an accommodation when you are travelling that you were sad to say goodbye too! We loved how wholesome the place felt especially in the evenings and they have the cutest dogs in the entire world! We couldn’t recommend this place enough. Adam & Abi x

Vraiment chouette accueil, Summer & Blue sont disponibles et à l'écoute. Nous avons passé un bon moment. La nourriture est excellente (Boeuf citronnelle piment, hummm!!). La nuit, il fait frais mais dans notre chambre, nous avons eu une couette en plus et le matelas est chauffant et agréable. La vue est exceptionnelle. Elles organisent aussi des activités comme des randonnées avec une guide locale.

The host Blue was great! So lovely and welcoming, we had to leave early on our last day 6:30AM, and so she really kindly made us bamboo sticky rice and gave us a bag of fruit to take with us on our journey. The room was super clean and great aesthetics, there was a bedside table, fan, lamp etc. The whole place was super clean, and the surroundings absolutely stunning. Great location for hiking, swimming in the river, and just generally relaxing. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday, tried so many things, it was all amazing. Highly recommend the lemon chicken and rice and the pumpkin and beef soup! Just such a cosy place. We’ve been travelling Southeast Asia for over 2 months so far, and this was the most welcoming, hospitable and one of the cleanest places we stayed.

From day one everything to make us comfortable was done!
We found The Zen House because of a cancelation, and it was the best thing that happened to us!
We visited them in New Year time, which made our experience incredible! The surrounding area is beautiful and there's a lot to explore.
Summer and Blue organized all our experiences - herbal bath, motorbike rental, trekking in rice fields and fan si pan trekking - making sure we felt most comfortable and relaxed through the whole procedure, and making it super easy - guaranteeing our comfort at all times!
The place itself is incredible and filled with an amazing view and super cute animals!
We also had the opportunity to have several meals there, and the experience with the kitchen was memorable! Awesome food, and great service!
Our only problem was that we had to leave after 3 nights - the place, vibe and people made this one of the best experiences in Vietnam so far!
Thank you so much Summer, Blue, and all The Zen House staff for such good time!

had an amazing time, the weather wasn't great but we did a cooking class with summer and blue and also walked the dogs and booked in for the batik indigo session through the homestay which was great. We had dinner and breakfast at the homestay each day and took it as a little rest (loved garlic and hayhay and all the dogs!!) Thank you so much :)

Blue and Summer👭 are fantastic hosts! We really miss them .They were so accommodating ,taking such a good care of our family during our stay,We won’t feel lonely because many cute dogs and cute cats accompanying us , such a peaceful place which l never experienced before. As we walked around the river🏞️ and the rice fields , enjoy the nature view , somehow thinking of …life can be very simple , happiness can be very simple too. The Sailing Cafe just few minutes from The Zen house.Every morning we enjoyed the breakfast which prepared by Blue n Summer …. very good Vietnamese coffee, egg sandwich,fried rice and many more… we enjoyed the mango sticky rice too.We ordered chicken hotpot for dinner everything is fresh,yummy and good value. We will remember this beautiful village and the warm hospitality of both of you 💕( Blue n Summer)

The Zen House was by FAR one of our favourite stays in all of Vietnam - Summer and Blue were so friendly, and around at all times to answer questions, organise things, just to help you out with whatever you need! The puppies and cats absolutely made our stay, as well as the stunning scenery. Not to mention the amazing home cooked food. It truly was a peaceful, relaxing, rejuvenating stay, with such wonderful souls running it.

Everything in this Homestay was perfect. Wonderful large rooms with comfortable beds and super beatiful aestetics. We visited in August and the fan in the room was more than enough to cool it down pleasently.
The hosts were super nice and accomodating and the food there is AMAZING. We were super happy and would have stayed longer if possible.
Also the views are marvellous. And the dogs and cats are super cute and well behaved.
This was one of our favorite homestays, we were very satisfied to have chose not to stay in Sapa city and here instead. Thank you!

L’emplacement au calme dans un village éloigné de Sapa, la vue magnifique, la chambre confortable mais surtout le trek organisé par l’hôte est superbe

Summer and Blue were exceptional hosts, taking great care of their guests. Their homestay is filled with warmth and restfulness. Great place to come for respite, meet friendly people and little creatures.
