The personnel was kind.
I was really disappointed by the hotel and by the description on booking.com which is completely wrong. All in the hotel smells bad, not clean, and the facility not maintained at all. The breakfast very poor. The internet incredibly weak. A lot of noise from the Air Conditioning system, and from the fridge. Very inconfortable hôtel and dirty hotel. I do not recommend the hotel to anyone, and strongly advise to remove it from booking.com application.

The room I was given on the 2nd floor, street side, market side was so noisy until late and then again so early that I didn't catch up any rest after a long journey. Almost as if the window was open.
Très bien placé, près du marché central. Le personnel est très disponible et courtois. Très bel établissement, parmi mes TOP 5 de mes hôtels Booking. Super petit-déjeuner. J’y suis allée en mai et en juin. En juin, on a eu un petit souci matériel dans ma chambre qui a été vite réglé après échanges avec l’équipe. En plus, il y’a un restaurant ( j’y ai mangé un très bon Ndolé ), un bar, une piscine, une petite salle de sport, une terrasse - bar ( très bons cocktails ) et un hammam ( très bien, je l’ai fait en mai ). Lors de mon deuxième séjour, j’ai eu une petite carte de bienvenue. Les chambres sont spacieuses, bien agencées et disposent d’un mini-frigidaire. Allez-y les yeux fermés, Well done à M. Emmanuel et à toute son équipe !

The first time I liked the place although I thought it was in the middle of a bad area and to go anywhere you need a car.
They changed my room because the first day I had a cold shower and the cleaning staff moved all my staff without asking and they lost a shirt that had an emotional value and they pretend it s not true and I must have lost it somewhere else … impossible as I didn’t go anywhere. Anyway … will not return
the rooms (i changed three) are all beautifully decorated and spacious. the different restaurants and cocktail bars are an oasis and well arranged around the pool and rooftop. the staff was very nice and attentive. I was upgraded to a suite because in the first room i had a cold shower. the rooms on the inner courtyard are very silent. the sushi was excellent and fresh and so was the shrimp salad with avocado.
the breakfast buffet, despite looking very assorted and fresh, does not have lactose free or gluten free options. at that price (of the breakfast and the room) you would expect some, especially having asked for vegetable milk in advance when i booked and having received a reply saying that it will be provided; probably it was only an automatic reply from Booking, and there was no lactose free or vegetable milk so i had only a double expresso which i paid 8 Euro (i live in Denmark and not even there a coffee has this cost). i had dinner twice, the first night the gambas were overcooked and hard like a rock although they were probably very fresh. the wine is overpriced like the coffee.
I received such a warm welcome at Boun's Hotel that I immediately felt relaxed and at home, and every single person I encountered - the whole reception team, the restaurant team, the housekeeping team, and the guards - were always so warm and friendly. I stayed for 10 days for work, and every night coming back was like coming home. The room was clean and well equipped, and while there was some street noise during the day, it was always quiet at night. The wifi worked well, which was critical for me, and the food was also great (they even made a special vegetarian dish for me). I loved being able to eat in the restaurant, at the terrace, or in the rooftop restaurant. I also made use of the gym, which turned out to be a popular spot, so I had to get in early, but great to have it onsite. If I'm lucky enough to return to Yaoundé, I will not hesitate to stay here again.
Nothing not to like really. If I was to be picky, the taps in the bathroom had a tendency to splash you easily, more veggie food options on the a la carte menu would have been nice. And a desk lamp would also have been great. But these are very small things and did not take away from a great stay.

Although it is situated in quite a rough area, once you were through the door it was a quiet safe place with full facilities! Which puts you as ease
Minor point-The initial arrival set with in a bustling noisy market could be daunting. But I was met by helpful security and at no point felt threatened.
I loved everything: the super welcoming staff, the place, restaurant, room (comfy and quiet)! I really felt like home, thank you +++
