Charming hotel in the city
Pros:

I have been staying at this hotel for 9 years. The staff is wonderful. I love the location, because it is easy to walk to different places in the city. The breakfast is very nice. I enjoy the unique rooms.

Despite minor shortcomings, the hotel was (very) good, certainly at its price point.
Pros:

Given its price point in Costa Rica, the rooms are very nice, well furnished and clean, excellent bathroom and bed, with complimentary coffee maker and coffee at the room, although the lack of a tea and mini-fridge was surprising (the only things missing really, but easily compensated by the proximity of convenience stores at walking distance).

Cons:

The noise of the occasionally passing railway cars is a bit of nuisance, at least for those not wanting to wake up around 5 am or those who wish to go to sleep before 9 pm. The cheaper rooms (don't know about others) have only indirect light coming in, and no view except of a nearby wall. By the way not uncommon in cheaper Costa Rican lodging.

Pros:

Me gustaron las instalaciones, son bonitas. La habitación linda y la cama cómoda. Desayuno variado y bueno.

Good hotel for a one-night stay in San José at the start or end of your holiday.
Pros:

The hotel is conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk from the main shopping street in the centre of San José, with plenty of restaurants also within a 10-minute walk. It's conveniently located close to the city centre and about a 30-minute drive from the airport.

Cons:

The neighbourhood behind the hotel didn't feel very safe, with quite a few homeless people and people visibly struggling with alcohol or drug addiction. The hotel room also didn't have air conditioning; there was only a ceiling fan to cool the room, which wasn't very effective.

Pros:

Vielen lieben Dank! Selten so tolles Personal erlebt.
Ich habe mich sehr wohl dort gefühlt.

Super Frühstück.

Cons:

Züge in der Früh recht laut.

Pros:

Super Zentral!
