For me Mel who worked behind the bar was the best thing about the hotel and made my stay beltin 💯
Bed was good, room location was on ground floor facing marina great view. Booked evening meal which was really good also breakfast.
Room could have been better, shower was ok but no screen or curtain which resulted in whole floor getting soaked also some floor tiles loose.
good location
Scheduled our day specifically around access to the outdoor pool. Then told at 2p it was only accessible at 5:30p.
At 5:30p, then told it was only available with a Spa package.
disengenious advertising and very poor communication from staff from front desk, spa and management.
Great location
we spent almost £300 for one night, to then be put in a room with no new and to be charged additional costs to use to car park and £25 to use the outdoor pool on the hottest day in years, seems a little tight
The setting is amazing
The road ..lovely suite but was not aware of the road
Breakfast was exceptional
Rooms very clean and well maintained
Indoor spa area very good
The outdoor thermal journey is very overpriced at £70 per person for 3 hours
The indoor spa closes between 10am until 5.30pm
*★★★★★ Low Wood Bay + Blue Smoke
Spent the day at Low Wood Bay and it was flawless. Room was spotless, views over Windermere were stunning, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Spa and pool areas were perfect for unwinding.
Had dinner at Blue Smoke on the Bay and it stole the show. Food was next level - smoked meats were tender and packed with flavour, sides were fresh, and the whole menu felt really well thought out. Service was on point without being overbearing.
Between the location, the hotel, and that food at Blue Smoke, it’s an easy 5/5. Already planning to go back.
nothing
Lovely spa with a good amount of space and not too crowded. Hotel generally was pleasantly decorated and lots of places to sit / have a drink. Food at the W was good, as was breakfast. Room was fine.
Residents are second class citizens. You pay circa £400 for a standard room......yes the hotel is of a good standard and the location is fabulous, but you only get very limited access times to the spa, unless you pay extra. You also have to pay an outrageous £12 per day for parking.
Beautiful location and the Spa
Everywhere just lacking finesse, service . Everything there to make it a great hotel and a wonderful experience but the service and finish just not there.
Loved it all , the service , the rooms, the food and the spa
Location and view were amazing. Reception staff were very pleasant as were the bar staff. Relaxing stay.
Lack of attention at breakfast. Ordered tea with serving staff, none arrived, there were slippers missing for going to the spa, therefore we didn't venture over there. There were dirty trays outside our room which hadn't been cleared from room service and the cleaning staff were very keen for us to leave on the last day, with all their equipment blocking the exit route.
Every think. Infinty pool was btillant and the views. Wow!!!
The room cleaners were very nice.
This was a reminder not to believe the photographs - the location is right on a very busy road - not at all the calm promised by the photos - the cost of the room is far from commensurate to the quality- the room is tiny (!) the light switches don't work properly- the glass on the bedside tables slides around almost slipped off and smashed - the bedside lights don't work - the light switches are some job lot someone was scammed into buying they don't work they have dimmers built in that don't function correctly - there was mold around the inside of the window- (that didn't open) they put us in a room directly opposite a service cupboard that I specifically requested not to have a room by access doors, service cupboards etc. - they changed it but with no apologies at all just a dead face - the vibe from most of the staff is not 4 star here - ( I will edit this as I had a great experience with the indian(?) sorry don't know her name - woman at reception - she was super professional ) otherwise it feels like a towny seasonal workers at a b&b - if we were paying 100 a night you'd expect it - not 450 a night - the Wi-Fi flat out doesn't work! (I am writing this in notes now so I can post this when I leave!!) heading to a massage in a moment - we will see ....later the WiFi finally worked after many attempts and trips to the front desk and help from the afore mentioned woman - but was still weak - spa huge disappointment - massage was decent but hotel guests have to pay an additional £70 to use spa facilities !?!?finally the FOOD. Yuk the worst meal I've had in years - for 156£ - listen I travel widely live in nyc and Mallorca and I can adjust to local cuisines - the mushroom parfait looked like an elephant did his business on my plate - rubbery fish - 16£ for one overcooked scallop - the wine was good but over priced - shall I go on ?
Perfect location and beautiful setting. Rooms were clean and adequate. Food was good. Restaurant in evening superb.
Wish we had known more about the set up would rather have stayed in the lodge part.
Some of the staff were good. Especially who were in the desk for spa.
İtems were missing in the room for example slipper or towels. I was expecting more as it is too expensive.
During breakfast we waited half hour for a tea !!!!!
