The veiw out the front over looking the lake
Wasnt informed to book in advance for the spa facilities
Staff all very polite, helpful
Car parking extra to bill?
Bar staff great food good but stayed in better places for same money but you learn by mistake
I booked the spa for three hours felt like I was robbed poeple just getting let through from pool area to spa with out paying its 140 pounds for 2 people for 3 hours but y should others not have to pay when we have to ...if I do go back I will book one person in and just take wife in later
Thermal pools overlooking the lake
The is spa, ostensibly the hotel’s main draw, is governed by an excessive and confusing set of restrictions around access times and eligibility. Despite being a paying hotel guest and booking a 50-minute treatment at £115, I was still denied access. However you can book for £25 a 2 hour window where you can use some of the facilities but not all. This combined with the constant emphasis on additional charges, created an atmosphere that felt far more focused on extracting money than providing a relaxing or enjoyable experience.
Even when access was granted, the spa pools overlooking the lake were beautiful - however inside It was overcrowded and far from the tranquil environment one would expect at such a cost, with the presence of loud children undermining any sense of relaxation. Given the strict rules and premium fees, it astounds me that children are allowed in the spa area??
The rooms were equally underwhelming, cramped, uninspiring, and entirely out of proportion with the price charged.
Overall, this hotel feels less like a luxury retreat and more like an exercise in upselling at every opportunity including £12 per night parking for each car? Aside from the view, there is little here to recommend.
SPA!!! It is great facility ! Salted sauna and herbal steam were the best for us and outdoor infinity pool is unforgettable expirience ! The personnel are so friendly ! They make it very special ! We are ended the visit at the relaxing room with face masks provided by the spa. The Blue smoke restaurant is also very nice ! Fast service , great food ( duck pancake was my favorite!) and personnel were very kind and cheerful.
Nothing . I liked everything! We will be back for sure !
The location and the layout. Very clean and staff were super friendly. Bedroom was good size and beds were comfortable. Espa products to use in bathroom were a great choice.
Loved my stay the spa journey and facilities were incredible and was a fabulous break and relaxation. Treatment massage great! Food and breakfast excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel.
The only negative was the WiFi was a little patchy?
Spa was 👌
Noisy during night time from neighbouring room
Good breakfast, plenty options. Staff very helpful & friendly. Spa fabulous.
Lifts were out of order for both days we were there. People sitting in restaurants & bar with bathrobes on, not classy.
Charged £12 a night to park in hotel car park.
The outdoor spa is the jewel in the crown of this property. It’s magnificent.
It was all just a bit ruthless. Bill under the door before you awoke in the morning, room charges automatically deducted from credit card (even though we hadn’t checked out or had some queries on the bill addressed - some of which were incorrect and had to be corrected.)Phantom dinner reservations which didn’t materialise. It was all just a bit meh on the experience front, but they were so very efficient at the charging part.
The location and the hotel it’s self
Loved everything - only thing I could pick up on is urine stains at the back of the toilet seat from previous guests
Fabulous location and friendly, helpful staff
Poor communication and transparency around access to pool areas and spa treatment bookings.
