Magnifique maison
Pros:

Le manoir est un très beau bâtiment perdu dans la végétation avec une vue au loin sur la mer. Proximité de l'aéroport, service de pick up fiable (avec supplément)

Cons:

Il n'y a pas de restauration et service de café limité. L'établissement applique toujours les suppléments pour paiement avec carte de crédit malgré l'interdiction de la Bank of Tanzania du 23/12/2024.

The on-site staff were polite and tried to assist where they could within their limitations. The property is also reasonably close to Stone Town and the airport

Cons:

Unfortunately, the property was not a good fit for our family and did not meet expectations. When booking, we assumed a comfortable, family-friendly stay with usable beach access. While we acknowledge we overlooked that there is no swimming pool, the reality on arrival was very different from what we had anticipated.

The room layout was not suitable for a family, with everything in one space rather than separate sleeping areas. More significantly, the beach access is not just difficult — it is not usable as a beach. Access is via steep broken steps, and the shoreline is a mangrove area filled with trash and debris, making it unusable for relaxing or spending time with children.

We also found the management approach very disappointing. When we reached out to request a possible amendment to our booking, the manager declined without any willingness to engage and would not speak with us directly, only communicating through staff.

As a result, we had no option but to stay and spend additional money each day traveling elsewhere to access a pool or a usable beach, which added significant cost and inconvenience to our trip.

Lovely quaint hotel.You get what you pay for.

The staff were friendly,beautiful accommodation.

There is no pool.We were told there was a small “private beach” trail.As soon as we started off to the trail,we realised that the beach wasn’t suitable for swimming.The beach looked dangerous.A security guard from a neighbouring hotel asked us to please turn around as the area around the beach was not safe.It did not feel safe.It was an uncomfortable experience.

Pleasant stay close to Airport
Pros:

The property is located at one of the safest part of Stonetown. Close to local restaurants or an italian style pastry chop.

I loved their huge garden, leading you to the beach.

Their staff was really kind and did everything for the guests comfy stay. Just highly recommended to choose them!
