It was cheap I guess
This was the dirtiest accommodation I have ever stayed in. The sheets had little rocks in them so clearly they were never washed. There were dead bugs on the walls. The toilet didn't flush and the bathtub made a gurgling sound all night long. The man who greeted me wasn't wearing shoes or socks and didn't really speak to me just gestured. I was so tired from driving and needed to lay down but I couldn't stay here for more than four hours cause I was so grossed out and uncomfortable.

No cold water at all, difficult to brush teeth with HOT water. Difficult to rinse mouth, unable to take a sip of water
Toilet paper roller fell off wall with first use
I did not stay at this hotel. I pulled into the driveway and was so repulsed by what I saw that I left and canceled my reservation
The property was filthy and run down and did not look safe.
No breakfast with purchase of room
The sheets had human hair on them, it wasn't the cleanest, and the pillows were way too flat. But the bed otherwise was comfortable.
The heat in the rooms is all on top at the top of room not at the bottom so it can raise up. Plus it did not work was blowing cold heat. Should have got them up at 3:00 am and told them it not working. We we frozen so we just left and got earm up in the van. Will not be back at that hotel.
It was right in the heart of town - but, having said that we don’t feel we ever need to come back to Breezewood PA
Dirty, dusty, a panel fell off the wall in the bathroom when I shut the door.
The sign out front needs to light up especially when traveling at night.
Arrived late evening. Called ahead and left a message to say we would be arriving late and an approximate arrival time. Received a nice text back saying that it wasn’t a problem.
When we arrived we were told that there were no rooms. I showed my reservation and they just kept saying there were no available rooms
At 11:30 at night I had to wander around trying to find a room. The gentleman at the full Days Inn let me know about the hotel behind the Sonrise. The Wiltshire, while not pretty. It’s mom and pop run and I felt very safe and welcome.
When we arrived we were told that they didn’t actually have a room for us and we could not check in, even after having a reservation
For the price, it was clean, safe, and comfy. Near many truck stops and easy access from the highway.

I've stayed here twice now (once in July 2023, and now in September 2025). Very good experiences each time, and I was especially happy with my stay this time around.
My room (Room 5) was decorated so comfortably and beautifully. An excellent price and value alike (I feel like I paid as little as I could for a hotel in the area, yet my room came with a king bed, desk, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker w/ instant coffee, and a nice bathroom alike.) Sonrise is right off I-70 and Route 30 with several fast food places and stores nearby, so super convenient for travelers going through Breezewood.
Finally, I especially appreciated how kind Sonrise's staff were to me. Unfortunately, I came down with a cold the night I stayed there (certainly no fault of theirs.) I called them not long after I left to let them know in case they'd need to clean my room extra. The gentleman who answered couldn't have been more kinder, compassionate, or supportive of me, which meant so much. I'd be very glad to stay here again-- and I very likely will since I visit the area annually!
P.S. This may not be a big deal for everyone, but a little bonus I liked is there's a sign right outside their property with mileage to DC and Baltimore that's nearly equal to one another. Being from greater Baltimore and loving geography and traveling, I found this sign cool enough to photograph and share with local family/friends (see attached picture!)
Sonrise is located near two bigger highways, so I did hear more road noise during the night.
That said, this certainly isn't their fault, and I definitely still had a great experience overall. Plus, I found playing calming nature sounds on my phone while I slept helped make a difference! 😊
We stayed due to cost. It was ok for the price.
