Friendly staff, large comfortable room, very good breakfast
Nothing
Comfortable, clean and spacious room. The bed was actually super comfy and I slept so well every night! Not too loud or and didn’t hear other rooms. The staff are friendly and attentive. Delicious food and very affordable. It can get quite busy so food can be between 15-60 mins. Good location and plenty of free parking.
To be fair the room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom was a bit run down/out dated. The shower wasn’t powerful or hot enough but other than that I have no complaints.
petit déjeuner excellent
The room was very large all things considered.
The restaurant was simply understaffed and it took 90 mins for a meal.
The manager and staff were very friendly on the face of it, but the requests for a room clean were a bit of a joke.
You shouldn't have to make a complaint in order to get your room cleaned, towels & coffee serviced etc.
All the staff at the Boundary were always friendly helpful and nothing was too much trouble
Can't think of anything
The landlord was helpful and friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and spacious.
Upon arrival, not the clearest of instructions for where the booking reception was. We drove to the hotel section to be advised by a waste engineer that the reception was in the pub itself.
As have mentioned, the landlord was polite and friendly.
I had pre-ordered and paid for the larger size fried breakfast for my wife and I in the morning. Unfortunately, when the landlord was going through the booking, their system had somehow allotted us 2 unpaid standard breakfasts as well as the 2 large breakfasts that I had prepaid. A small hiccup that was resolved promptly.
The following morning, my wife and I headed down for breakfast at our prebooked time of 9.30am.
This is where the hotel really let itself down.
The website advertises a continental breakfast as a free addition to the large fried breakfast, it didn't actually provide that.
In actual fact it didn't even provide what we had paid for.
The morning host had no record that 2 large breakfasts had been paid for, so we explained that we had ordered online and had confirmed with the landlord of such when we arrived the previous day.
We decided that whilst we waited for our full cooked large breakfasts we would enjoy the continental food.
The issue was there wasn't any available, apart from 2 croissants and some cereal but no milk.
We wanted a drink and decided we would have orange juice, but there were no glasses.
Eventually we received the glasses, but there was only enough juice to fill them half way and no further top up of the juice or milk was made.
Oh well ... let's at least look forward to the large full cooked breakfast we thought.
The food arrived......
There were zero fried eggs...they had run out of them.
1 x vegetarian sausage... they had run out of pork sausages.
1 slice of bacon, 1 tablespoon of baked beans, 1 slice of black pudding and half a tomato.
We were gobsmacked and shocked...so much so that we didn't waste our time speaking to the host.
Spacious room, stayed in room 2
Nothing
Great sized rooms
Needed some new windows
The bedrooms are in a separate building close to the pub/restaurant. Our room was large, faced towards the rear and was very quiet so we could sleep with the windows open. For us the location was also very convenient.
The pub/restaurant was pleasant enough with a friendly atmosphere but the food was pretty average. (Standard bar chain food). Inside our room the shower was above the bath with no non slip mat, we didn’t have a problem and the shower was good (but not height adjustable) but it could be a problem for others. My final gripe was that the bathroom light was quite dim which made shaving a challenge.
The location and the room was warm quite and relaxing.
I didn't like that the bed wasn't a double/ kimg It was single matteress put together. Which gapped during the night.
Super friendly staff, spacious room, comfy beds
Comfy beds.
Large room with space to breathe.
Clean.
Nice towels.
Good storage and furniture options.
Convenient location for Kirby Leisure Centre.
Only 2 tea bags given.
The toilet was a bit smelly when you walked into the bathroom and didn't flush too well. The smell wasn't noticeable in the room.
Stairwell smelt like smoke to me.
The comfy chairs were ripped, but better to have them than not.
Room was a good size and away from the pub
Only 1 pillows
I use this hotel once per month for my work trips - and the location is perfect, a very short drive into work. The staff are always so friendly and considerate. The kitchen staff have on several occasions provided a meal when I've arrived a bit late from work. The room TV and coffee facilities are fine, and the beds are comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. Parking is great, as it's very nearby especially in winter months. The fast EV charging is a life-saver.
Facilities are a bit worn. Small things like the shower pipe leaking so very low pressure. Temperature of the water was fine. Musty smell in the room and bathroom, despite the extractor being on.
The hotel is in a good location ,check in was fast and easy and the staff were very welcoming and helpful
We liked everything
