Most spectacular views in Vietnam
Pros:

What a wonderful place to stay. We absolutely loved everything about this place. The staff, the animals, the village, the food, the drinks, the rice paddies, but most of all the views. The nearby pizza place was also a hit!
De Mong was a highlight of our trip and we would happily stay there again. Loved the motorbike ride too.

Cons:

De Mong is a place everyone should stay at least once in their life.
These are just some things to keep in mind for visitors, rather than things we “didn’t like”. There are cafe visitors taking annoying photos and videos for Instagram and TikTok, and they don’t seem to care about dumping their stuff (props) in the cafe or even forcing the family cat to be in their photos. They were even coming into the private area that we were saying in. It’s not the worst thing but if you are aware of it, it might not annoy you so much. It got a bit much for us.

There are some kind children from the local village that try to sell you their wares, which is fine until they come up to you while you are trying to relax at the property or call out to you while you are going to breakfast. Part of the experience I guess, but just a heads up for others. Don’t say “Maybe later”to them because they took that literally.

Again, these are just quirky things about the place.

Kind and peaceful homestay in Sapa
Pros:

Everything was excellent, from the peaceful and picturesque location, the food and coffee 😋, and our kind hosts (Yen, Thuong and Sunny!). A lot of thought and care went into making sure the guests have a good experience and it shows 😌.

Cons:

I don't think much more could be improved. Maybe the hosts could form partnerships with nearby local eateries so guests can enjoy more authentic Vietnamese and Sapa local cuisine (like the banh cuon up the road!). Otherwise more hooks in the room to hang stuff would be neat.

Pros:

Absoluut 10 punten!

Bij aankomst word je vriendelijk ontvangen door twee heren op scooters, die je het laatste stukje naar beneden richting Da Mong brengen, een leuke en unieke start van je verblijf.

Het team weet écht wat hospitality betekent. Je krijgt toegang tot een eigen appgroep met het hele team, waarin je alles kunt vragen. Ze reageren razendsnel en denken actief met je mee, wat het verblijf extra comfortabel maakt.

De accommodatie biedt zowel wandel- als motortours aan. Wij hebben gekozen voor de motortour en dat was een geweldige ervaring, absoluut een aanrader!

Daarnaast zijn de koffies heerlijk en is het eten erg goed! De bedden liggen comfortabel en de accommodatie is schoon en goed verzorgd.

Wat echt opviel: zelfs nadat we vertrokken waren, kregen we nog een berichtje met de vraag of ze ons ergens mee konden helpen. Toen we bij ons volgende verblijf in Sapa geen taxi konden regelen naar het centrum (vroeg in de ochtend) hebben we team Da Mong geappt en binnen 5 minuten was alles geregeld. Dat is pas service. Deze mensen ademen hospitality.

Zeker een aanrader!

P.S. Niet ver hier vandaan ligt Salling Sapa, ook zeker de moeite waard om een keer te lunchen.

Lugar muy hermoso y auténtico.
Pros:

La ubicación,la habitación,las vistas.Lugar impresionante. Habitación grandisima con tres ventanales.Preciosa.

Cons:

La encargada muy poco espabilada ,nos dejaron en la carretera más de media hora diciendo que ya venían y era mentira , al llegar de un largo viaje nos costó como una hora conseguir un café...lo pedimos unas 7 u 8 veces ,estábamos agotados y ni caso...cuando necesitábamos algo era difícil conseguirlo.La habitación con paredes de papel,se oía absolutamente todo.
A pesar de todo el lugar,la habitación, merecen la pena

Amazing stay with beautiful scenery
Pros:

This is such a cute a cozy place to stay and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. The entire staff takes great care in Making sure you are well taken care of. They coordinated a trekking adventure with a local guide for me which was a highlight of my Vietnam trip. They also organized a massage in my room which was also good. I had lunch, dinner an breakfast here and all were delicious. The bed was very comfortable as well.

Cons:

For me the only downside was the bathroom was located outside the room. It was dedicated just to my room. I tend to go a lot at night so would have preferred a bathroom in the room. Still, I would stay here again.

Posizione incredibile, camera spaziosa, struttura minimal ma veramente caratteristica.
Lo staff presente in homestay non parla bene inglese, ma c'è la possibilità ci usare whatsapp per ogni necessità, e parlare con persone molto disponibili.
Cibo buono.

Cons:

Pieno di ragazzine pronte a farsi immortale, ma veramente irrilevante. Non fa tralasciare la pace profonda che regala questo posto.

Pros:

The atmosphere was very chill and healing. The staff was very friendly and they even willing to assist even though we arrived at late night. The view, the attitude of the host was just perfect. This is my best experience and I will have my 2nd time to visit again!

Beautiful & communicative homestay
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful homestay. The team were really communicative, setting up a WhatsApp group ahead of our stay which made everything really seamless. The dinner options were extensive and the gave us great recommendations which helped us enjoy a very tasty, authentic meal. They were also proactive in helping us book taxis into town. The homestay itself is beautiful, both the design and the setting, and we had a very relaxing three night stay.

Cons:

It’s not something negative, but it’s worth just remembering that this is quite far out of Sapa (25 minute taxi) and is quite rural. That means you will be woken up to the sound of cockerels or other wildlife quite early. We enjoyed it, but we hadn’t considered this before booking!
