The hotel is very well located, in the historical center of Mardin. The building (a traditional stone house) offers a breathtaking view of the plain. The personnel was very friendly and welcoming, and helped us getting around the city and the region.
Everything was great except for the absence of air conditioning, the room was very hot in the summer.
Pas de petit dejeuner
Quel lieu magnifique! Ne surtout pas hésiter à séjourner dans ce Ksar qui dispose d'une superbe vue et de très belles chambres, situé dans la vielle ville.
L'hôte est très attentionné et accueillant.
Nous avons adoré l'accueil et le site !!
Fantastic host who is only too happy to help with anything
Mardin is a nightmare if you have a car, nearest parking is at the museum
Welcome to the fairy tale, that was our first feeling. After climbing so many steps and looking for a hotel in narrow streets, we have found a gem, with amazing Mezopotamia views, elegant doves, large rooms, very friendly and helful owner. That were our first bathrooms in Turkey, where the sinks didnt badly stink. We even spent one night under the night sky on the big outside beds - beautiful experience.
Wifi signal bad and rooms were quite hot.
Everything was beyond perfect
Beautiful hotel with stunning view and many shops, restaurants, etc. within walking distance from the hotel. The owner was so kind and helpful with arranging a tour to Midyat. Would definitely visit this hotel again.
You don't guess from the outside the hotel that it looks inside like a small castle (as I was told it's 900 y.o. building) with a lot of space. It seemed that I was living in a museum with many antique details. It was a pleasure and great experience for a reasonable price!
There was no WiFi in the rooms (though it is declared in the description) and poor internet connection via mobile phone (at least for zoom/Skype meetings)
Spacious
Dreadful steps to get to the property
Beautyful terrace with amazing view, charming bedroom, very friendly hosts, great value for money
Was perfect
The room was amazingly beautiful and comfortable. The location is perfect, few minutes away from the main street, yet very calm (lost in a series of stairways, but hard to find at first). We can only get there by foot.
The staff didn't speak English, and it seems the hotel is managed remotely, so the staff at the hotel had to call someone else when we arrived, when we wanted to pay, etc. They seemed unaware of our reservation through Booking. No big deal, it worked at the end, but this could be smoother.
The building is great as it is an old fascinating castle
It can be a bit challenging to find the address.
Nice view over Mezopotamia. Free tea made by the stuff and the hotel owner willing to help to get around.
Lack of A/C was very painful. Although we decided to leave one day earlier (despite paying for the full stay), staff urged us to leave even earlier to make the room accessible for the cleaning staff - very disappointing.
