Relaxation
The staff at breakfast had trouble understanding us and so I ended up with a coffee and that was all
The bed size was bit small according to the type of room ( DELUXE KING ROOM ) we have booked
Location and interior is good.
The property is modern and the space surrounding it is safe - there are no cars or bikes around. The room TVs had a good selection of channels, one which allowed us to watch the Euro’s match!
The rooms clearly aren’t used often: the pressure in the taps told their own story when they were spluttering out dirt. Whilst they were mostly clean, our room had an infestation of ants that followed us all the way to Ho Chi Minh in our bags. Said ants also found their way into our breakfast drinks!
Breakfast was not a buffet as advertised due to us being the only people staying: it was a la carte which, at first thought, seemed ideal until they charged us for coffee which would/should have been included as per the buffet offering. We were not allowed to checkout until we paid the outstanding balance of coffee which seemed ridiculous, especially considering we were told they were complimentary by the waiting staff.
We were very happy with the breakfast and the service at Sunflower. We found the location was far enough away from the busy streets but still only a few minutes walk to shops and cafes.

My spouse recently stayed at Sunflower from 02/14 - 0215 and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Below is my concerns:
1. I lived in US and I booked the SunFlower Hotel & Resort from Booking.com for my spouse & daughter. When my spouse arrived to the hotel and ready to check in the front desk staff asked to paid in cash VN currency instead. My spouse called me from the hotel (SunFlower/Bao Loc) and she told me that there is something wrong of our Booking.
I called the Booking Customer Agent ( his name is Ahmed A.) to let him know my concerns that why the front desk staff did not taken and process my CC instead of asked my spouse to pay in VN cash?
Noted that the Booking Agent called the front desk staffs to clarify the problem, but it's was not successfully. Per the Booking Agent told me that the front desk staffs don't understand much the English language.
2. The bed is not comfortable sleeping because using cheap mattress.
3. The noise levels were unbearable from the next door room and up level room, making it impossible to get a restful night's sleep. Also, we can hear the Karaoke after 10 pm outside. Very bad wall sound proofing.
Despite raising these concerns with the front desk, the staff appeared indifferent and offered no meaningful solutions. It was disappointing to see such a lack of responsiveness to guess feedback.
4. In the morning around 6 am all the cooking smell from the hotel kitchen went through in our room, making it impossible to get sleep.
5. At the day check out (11:45 am) The front desk staff called to the room to rush my spouse to check out while my daughter was in the middle of shower. This is so ridiculous and disappointing.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend SunFlower Hotel & Resort based on my experience. Improvement in booking process, front desk staffs should speak and understand English language, noise control, and customer service is urgently needed to meet the expectations of guests.
