Pros:

The staff were great and really looked after us. The English is a bit of a tricky situation, but they really try. We would really recommend getting a scooter since it's not walking distance at all to anything, but we knew that going in so didn't bother us at all.

Cons:

We could not use our international cards to make payment at checkout.
Room didn't have a fridge.

Pros:

Cleanliness and hygiene are excellent. The food is good, and so is the service. The staff are prompt and well-behaved. Located at an elevation of about 1000 m, it is on a terraced slope within a gated community. Quiet and peaceful away from the noise of the city, it is about 2 km from the Dehradun Mussoorie road. A lot of plants and flower pots make it lively. The approach road, about 200 m, is steep and winding but the climb is worth it because of the views from the property. The photos we have added are the views of the neighborhood from the terrace of Room 101.

The rooms are spacious, particularly Room No 101 where we stayed four nights. The furniture and furnishings are tastefully done. We felt the absence of a study table and a rack for keeping suitcases and things. Their addition to the furniture would be a great value addition.

Ms Sweta the owner was an excellent host and she tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Pros:

The Bougainvillea Riverside cottages is a Home Stay in an excellent location towards the Musoorie side of Dehradun. Being on the hills it gives you an excellent view of the Dehradun valley as well as the hills towards Mussoorie. In Monsoons the clouds literally come into your room. The rooms are great with Open terraces and gardens where you can chill all day. The staff are very good and prompt attending to all your needs.Food cooked by the home chef is very tasty and home like. It is a little far from the city and market, so don't expect too much around. However, exploring the property could take up all your day apart from chilling there. If you need to get away from work and city life, this is the place to be. Shweta, our host attended to all our needs and kept checking on everything.

A good tranquil place.
Pros:

Staff was very good. Ms Shweta, the owner was very supportive. Rooms were very clean. Linen was good and clean.

Cons:

There is not much for children to play around and enjoy. Some indoor play area should be made. Also the splash pool water at this time of year was very cold. Could not be used. Shower area should have a shelf for keeping soap, shampoo etc. There should be a writing table and chair in the room.
