Freundlich, aber Tierhaltung enttäuschend und Sauberkeit verbesserungswürdig
Pros:

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das außerordentlich freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal, das jederzeit bemüht war, unseren Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Die Zimmerausstattung entsprach der Beschreibung, sodass es hier keine negativen Überraschungen gab. Auch die Lage des Hotels ist gut und bietet eine praktische Ausgangsbasis für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung.

Cons:

Bei der Sauberkeit sehen wir jedoch Verbesserungsbedarf. Im Badezimmer befanden sich Spinnenweben und im Zimmer lagen teilweise tote Insekten. Das hinterlässt leider keinen besonders gepflegten Eindruck.

Ein absolutes No-Go für uns war zudem ein einzelner Wellensittich, der in einem kleinen, kargen Käfig im Frühstücksraum gehalten wurde – direkt zwischen Kaffeemaschine und Feuerlöscher. Diese Situation empfanden wir als inakzeptabel. Wellensittiche sind soziale Tiere, die nicht allein gehalten werden sollten und ausreichend Platz sowie eine artgerechte Umgebung benötigen. Die Unterbringung in einem so kleinen Käfig an einem solchen Ort wirkt weder tiergerecht noch passend für einen Bereich, in dem Gäste frühstücken.

Wir haben die Situation auch fotografisch dokumentiert und das Thema bereits in einem persönlichen Gespräch angesprochen. An dieser Stelle möchten wir das Hotel nochmals ausdrücklich bitten, die Haltung des Tieres zu überdenken und im Sinne des Tierwohls und des Tierschutzes zu verbessern. Eine tiergerechte Unterbringung sollte aus unserer Sicht selbstverständlich sein.

This place cares more about grabbing your money than your comfort or satisfaction.
Pros:

The reviews and description seemed good enough but reality is a different story. Also, there is a nice soda nearby. Soda La Perla. The staff is nice and tries to be helpful but the owner only cares about grabbing your money, not your satisfaction.

Cons:

It’s not very well maintained. The room has a weird layout. The bed was not comfortable. The shower was not very strong, when there was actually water. We lost power and water multiple times. There is tacky art, plastic flowers and a bird in a cage….in Costa Rica! The dirt street out front is oddly busy and noisy, a lot. Parking is out back in a “secure” lot. The pool looked like it had normal blue water in the listing but was brownish green when we were there. We had a 4 night reservation, stayed 1 night and attempted to get a 50% refund. Seemed reasonable enough, but not to the owner. Wasted time even trying. We’d recommend staying elsewhere unless you have a very high tolerance for substandard.

Would book a night or two again but not for longer stays.
Pros:

The pool and the funny looks of every detail. Good breakfast that was fresh made in front of you and a nice walk to everything.

Very nice Place
Cons:

Only one negative point: a budgerigar is kept alone in a cage. Budgerigars should not be kept in isolation. In Costa Rica, with its strong animal welfare standards and no zoos, this felt especially out of place.

Emplacement qui permet de se rendre facilement à la plage à pied sans être dans le centre ville. Personnel gentil.

Cons:

Petit déjeuner plutôt simple, jus d'orange premier prix, peu copieux, choix varié cependant.
Odeur d'humidité dans la chambre et matelas à ressorts peu confortable.
