Pros:

The location was accessible to all nearby mansions and handloom shops. The breakfast spread was amazing . We received a warm welcome

Cons:

It would be great if visitors can be given a brief on the history and culture about Karaikudi. We have a village tour arranged but it could be great if the whole history is made into a story

all good except for the late checkout incident

Sl;ow response from reception. Informed reception that i need late checkout and this was informed on the day i checked in. Until morning 10.30 am of my checkout day, there was no information forthcoming from reception. Assuming all was ok, i left the hotel on a trip about 100km away. Upon me checking again one more time i was informed that i had to checkout by 12.30 noon. i then had to rush back

Great experience in all aspects
Pros:

The room was fascinating, situated in the historical heritage house well maintained by a very nice group of staff beautifully!

Especially, the bike ride with Shivan and other offers including tea, breakfast,and meals delighted me a lot. The bike ride in the early morning was a great experience, quiet, trafficless, enjoyable, and cooling.

As for food, I like their amla pickles from the garden, the coconut pancake, and special paniyaram. They are served by a group of caring staff.

Btw they have good book selection at the reception, but I wish that the bilingual book Mansions Palais de Sud l‘Inde from IFP (Textes Robert Dulau; photographies Arno Gisinger) were also there

Cons:

Staff handling customer grievance or request could be improved. Though there were no booking cancellation option provided we were still asked to call and send mail requesting for cancellation giving a false hope misleading. Breakfast was bland and not up-to the mark. There were also confusions with the pool rules.

Excellent and friendly staff coupled with sumptuous food
Pros:

Aesthetic, clean, good food

Cons:

The swimming pool has a depth of 6.7 ft which is very dangerous . There are no life coaches also nearby . This has to roll be looked into and corrected

Our stay at Visalam by CGH Earth during our Chettinad visit was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home.

A special mention to Yoga, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Their attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile really added to our overall experience.

The property itself is stunning. Beautifully preserving its heritage while offering a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere.

We thoroughly enjoyed the services, the ambiance, and the entire experience. It’s a place that leaves a lasting impression, and we are definitely looking forward to visiting again.
