Pros:

The staff were all welcoming and helpful.
Local Didi drivers meant it was accessible to the various revolutionary sites in the town.

Cons:

The food. It was a problem for me everywhere in Yan'an. I don't like very spicy food. If you do then this won't be an issue for you.
There are complementary breakfast and late night snacks, so if you like spicy food you have a choice.
