We were on a girls trip and delighted with the chi-chi luxe of the hotel and pool area.
Comfy beds, fabulous bathroom and amazing restaurants, pool and beach area. Beach bag in room also a nice touch for travellers with small suitcases.
Helpful staff at the front desk and taxis ordering to Marbella Old Town and Puerto Banus was frictionless.
Isola Restaurant: Steak, seam bream and vongole at Isola restaurant was delicious and so well presented and my burrata starter was to die for!
Wonderful bit of upmarket luxury for a few nights away together in May! ! Would highly recommend the Mett!
Only some small teaks to recommend....would have appreciated a litre of ordinary still water in the room fridge rather than the pricey smaller bottles that are too difficult to open when thirsty?!
Wold also appreciate a small covered plastic bottomed bin in the rooms for wet/sticky/ sanitary items that I did not want to dump in the large rattan bin in the bathroom or bedroom. Something more practical is really required please?
Would also have appreciated pool towels when lounging later in the day....no clear station for pick up?
Think it might be helpful for the staff to ask loungers if they would like a drink rather than having to get up and go to the bar....this is often the only opportunity that those of us living in colder climates have to lie out in the sun (for months) and it is precious time?!
One last consideration might be a transparent screen at the side of Isola that is opposite the left path by the pool, (to the beach). We were seated here initially but asked to move as it is very much a 'wind tunnel' effect when the wind is high. It was no trouble to reseat us - staff most kind and our meal was wonderful with the flame boxes creating great atmosphere.

Tijdens een regenbui of kouder weer zijn er te weinig faciliteiten om lekker aan de bar te zitten of te chillen.
Aardig en behulpzaam personeel, heerlijk ontbijt, mooi zwembad met goede bedden en het eten wat besteld kan worden is ook lekker. De gym is prima en de kamers zijn mooi en ruim opgezet. Aardig personeel bij de valet parking.
La piscina es estupenda y el personal de todo el hotel es encantador. A destacar también el desayuno, todo de gran calidad, como corresponde a la categoría del hotel

Dat gasten alvast bedden reserveerden bij het zwembad. Dit was niet toegestaan, maar er was geen goede controle op
Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Suite mit eigenem Pool. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers war sehr gut und die Terrasse mit direktem Blick aufs Meer war sehr schön. Die gesamte Anlage wurde scheinbar vor nicht allzu langer Zeit renoviert. Insgesamt machte die Anlage mit ihrem Zentrale Pool und der Bepflanzung einen guten Eindruck. Das Personal war durchwegs sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Folgende Dinge entsprechen leider bei weitem nicht einem 5 Sterne Hotel und sollten vom Management berücksichtigt werden:
Es gibt keinen Ort im Hotel (auch nicht auf den Zimmertrassen die an den Innenhof zum Pool ausgerichtet sind) beim Pool, in den beiden Restaurants oder am hoteleigenen Strand, an dem man nicht einer Dauerbeschallung von Musik in einer unangenehmen Lautstärke ausgesetzt ist. Über den Musikgeschmack kann man diskutieren (insbesondere im italienischen Lokal „Isola“), aber ich denke es sollte in einem Hotel dieser Kategorie auch Bereiche geben in denen man bewusst auf Musik verzichtet. Nicht jeder will 16 Stunden Dauerbeschallung. Der zweite Kritikpunkt ist die Organisation in den Restaurants und vielen anderen Bereichen. Zum Beispiel werden Fliesen neben dem Restaurant mit Chlor gereinigt oder Bäume mit Pestiziden gespritzt während Gäste Essen, etc. Wie bereits erwähnt war das Personal durchwegs sehr freundlich, aber ein großer Teil wurde scheinbar nie richtig geschult. Freundlichkeit allein reicht jedoch für ein 5 Sterne Hotel mit diesem Preisniveau nicht. Die Organisation sowie das zu großen Teilen nicht ausreichend geschulte Personal passen zu dieser Hotelkategorie nicht. Das sind alles Dinge, die das Management des Hauses ändern kann, wenn man in der Oberliga mitspielen will.

Die Ankunft und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeitenden hat mich gefreut, auch der Stil des Hotels und die Sauberkeit. Das Essen ist hervorragend! Die Zimmer sind sehr grosszügig. Da die Zimmer ringhörig sind, hat es auch auch Ohrstöpsel zur Verfügung.
Ich habe ein Pool - AND - Seaview-Room gebucht (mittlere Kategorie). Es war nur den Pool zu sehen und mit dem Frühstücksbeginn um 07:30 bis Mitternacht war die ganze Zeit die Soundanlage in Betrieb. Man sollte besser eine tiefere Kategorie nehmen, wenn man ein ruhigeres Zimmer möchte oder dann direkte Seafront-View. Das heisst an jeder Palme hatte es zwei Lautsprecher und man wurde den ganzen Tag mit Musik berieselt. Aber kein DJ.
Was schade, war dass Ende April doch netten Wetters, die Liegen am Strand nicht mit Polster augegelegt waren. Der Strandbereich müsste auch seitens des Hotels sauberer gehalten werden, obwohl die Strände in Spanien öffentlich sind.
