Pros:

Hervorragendes Hotel mit aussergewöhnlich zuvorkommendem Personal. Unser Zimmer hatten einen fantastischen Blick auf den Bosporus und es war in den ganzen 6 Tagen stets blitzsauber vom Roomservice hinterlassen. Insgesamt empfand ich das Personal als sehr zuvorkommend und jederzeit hilfreich. Insgesamt auch ein gutes Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis, für solch ein Hotel in der Klasse zahlt man an anderen Orten oftmals deutlich mehr. Ich werde gerne wiederkommen, wenn es mich wieder nach Istanbul verschägt.

Cons:

Ich habe leider einiges zugenommen an Gewicht durch das hervorragende und sehr umfangreiche Frühstück...

It was our first time in Istanbul and it was absolutely amazing even more so staying here at the Ritz-Carlton. The Staff. Breakfast, accommodations. Spa all first class service..we cannot wait to return.

Tycker inte att städningen var tillräckligt bra med tanke på att de går ut med att det är ett lyx hotell.

We used to love this hotel. Ten years ago, it was our favourite place in Istanbul—a benchmark for care, tranquility, and genuine hospitality. That’s why we returned with excitement and hope, bringing our child along. But we left with a heavy heart, shattered expectations, and the distinct feeling that we were simply invisible.
Refusing to let our child into the pool after 6 PM was a real blow. There was no warning during booking, nor any mention at check-in. We only found out about the restriction right at the water’s edge, while our child waited with eager eyes. There were tears, confusion, and in return, a curt “Those are the rules.” No apologies, no attempt to comfort him, not even the slightest gesture of care. Your staff simply turned away. For a hotel that claims “world-class service,” this isn’t just a misstep—it’s a breach of trust. You saw a distressed child and could have offered a simple gesture of kindness, like a piece of candy or a gentle distraction. Instead, you chose to hide behind a rulebook.
Dinner at Nobu was supposed to be the highlight of our trip, but it turned into a major disappointment. We specifically booked a table in the non-smoking section, yet the air was thick with cigarette smoke. This isn’t a minor inconvenience—it’s a matter of basic respect for guests who pay for comfort and clean air.
The next morning, the pattern repeated. Seeing us with our child, a staff member readily offered us a table in the smoking section. This goes beyond mere inconvenience—it’s a health concern and a clear lapse in attentiveness. Where’s the logic? Where’s the consideration for families with young children?
Our room on the 5th floor was anything but restful. Instead of the quiet sleep you expect and pay for at the Ritz-Carlton, we were kept awake by loud music clearly seeping in from the hotel’s restaurants or bars.
The final straw was our 3 AM checkout. Not a single staff member offered to help us load our luggage into the car. We handled it ourselves

Der Service war exeptionell.

Cons:

Es gibt absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Das geschlechtergetrennte Spa war natürlich ungewohnt, aber andere Kulturen, andere Sitten. Absolut nachvollziehbar.
