Cons:

I waited quite long for my room.
The room I was given was eventually not exactly the one requested, and smaller.
I also requested 1 breakfast with the room but was told it wasn’t included, but I did select that option.
As a member, I was allowed to spin the wheel and won the dinner vouchers, however I only got to use 1 as the date of expiry was the date of check out, which in my opinion didn’t work, especially if you use dinner plans already, so I couldn’t even use it. So I didn’t actually win.

Pros:

I liked the location. We didn't have breakfast included because we wanted to eat a brunch before leaving for the airport to come home. The room was nice, even if the view of the mountain wasn't very spectacular from that angle.

Cons:

We had some issues with the heating system and has to wait some hours for the temperature to rise.

Pros:

Location mostly

Cons:

Hotels have lost the small details that make it special eg no milk for the coffee station, no spoons. Could have used a memory foam pillow. No filter coffee. No slippers.

If it was priced and marketed as a good backpacker, would score better but at the way more upmarket price, quite disappo
Pros:

Location is excellent right near the V&A and next door to the Silo. Great view of Table Mountain!

Cons:

Poor cleanliness particularly in the bathroom, window blackout blinds did not lower (adjusted down manually by very helpful staff member) and once down had to stay down, billed as luxury but concrete polished floor, three (!) TV’s with all controllers having flat batteries (again fixed by the helpful staff), quite noisy due to the hard surfaces. Actually an old property dressed and advertised as modern but really the old building.

Absolutely fabulous!
Pros:

If you’re looking for a hotel that truly delivers on every level without breaking the bank, Radisson RED Cape Town V&A Waterfront is hard to beat.

From the moment you arrive, the experience feels special. You’re welcomed with genuinely warm, upbeat staff, along with a complimentary gin and tonic for adults, and thoughtful touches for kids including popcorn, water, an activity pack, and even headphones for the in room TVs.

The rooms are cleverly designed, offering plenty of space for a family of four without ever feeling cramped. Waking up to breathtaking views of Table Mountain is a standout highlight. Each room is well equipped with a fridge, espresso machine, kettle, and even a dining table, perfect if you fancy enjoying room service in comfort.

Dining is consistently enjoyable, with delicious food and attentive service. The staff go above and beyond, always ready to resolve any issues quickly and help with the small details, whether that’s providing adaptors or lending luggage scales.

The hotel’s fitness centre is well equipped, making it easy to stay on track with your workouts, and the rooftop bar is a real gem. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed drink or light bite, with complimentary blankets available in cooler months to keep things cosy.

Location wise, it couldn’t be better. The V and A Waterfront’s shops and restaurants are just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient to explore.

All in all, this hotel strikes the perfect balance between style, comfort, and value, making it an excellent choice for families, couples, or anyone wanting a memorable stay in Cape Town.

Cons:

The bathroom could do with an under counter light, for late night trips to the bathroom as it’s very bright with the main lights on.
