They didn't have working elevator to get handicap to room up stairs. Also was not told that until reserved and once reservation were made it says no refunds. Than when trying to check out they went in room before our things were out of room. The room had not been clean that well. The fire escape beside our room had curtain up and if u look behind curtain it had black mold in stairwell going up to door plus bunch of stuff like broken drywall and bucket of salt on stairs to get out in case of fire. Once we were gone I got message and call from booking.com saying I had brought my dogs in room which I left my dogs in my car for night because they were unwelcome which they are service dogs. I had seen someone walking out with their service dog. Plus I was told we were smoking marijuana in room which never happened. They tried charging $250 extra for this saying I violated terms which were never violated. I will never go to this place again or will not recommend anyone else.

Easy check in via email. Was given access codes for doors.
I might be short but even the toilet was too short for me. Shower only/no bath tub. Bathroom was very small.
I'm a Ludington great,great,great grandson of Harrison Ludington. Had to stay there.
No staff there. No hot water. Smelly and in the middle of a remodel. Bathroom had exposed wood with no stai. Or paint on it. Disgusting!

Checkout time is 10 and breakfast is at 11. Not going to hang around till almost lunchtime to eat breakfast. The temp of the room wasn't adjustable and uncomfortable. The room wasn't very clean and the floor stained my socks black.
The location is superior. The facility is historic. The town and port views we had were very nice. There is an on-site restaurant and bar. Being able to walk into the park area and downtown in just a few minutes was great. All staff seemed friendly and helpful.
We understood the facility was old and did not expect it to function as a modern building. So, things like slow hot water were ok with us. But, it just wasn't clean. There were food bits/onion skins in the refrigerator and any utensils we checked were clearly not clean. Light fixtures were broken and not repaired. There was a large green shag carpet at the shower door...it was "squishy wet". Stuff like that lessened our enjoyment. Our stay was only two nights so we did not ask the staff to replace things or do additional cleanings. That was our choice.

It is a beautiful old building with good bones, seems like owners are trying their best to bring it back to it's glory! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful!
A little musty & dated. I expected dated, but in a better way. I think they are slowly getting there & would love to come back in a few years to see the progress.

The hotel is old and needing refurbishment badly.
First time doing a self check in. Was awkward but nice. Staff was very helpful with answering quick questions. Despite road construction directly in front of the hotel, it was an amazing time. Plus all that construction energy added energy to the hotel. Being a paranormal investigation couple, we were not disappointed in the level of activity just in our suite. Knocks, footsteps, a few shadow figures. Audible female voices. Great and active location!!
Kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook a intimate or a family dinner, which we utilized our first night.
Shower had great pressure and the water was nice and hot
Didn't like the no bedroom door in the 101 suite. VERY dark whe. Lights are off. Even had the feeling of someone or something standing in the doorway and then right at the right side of the bed.
Its a old hotel, with wood expanding and contracting, made doors hard to open/close/lock.

Property is very old and outdated. Felt like it was a hotel for drug addicts and the homeless. Facilities not adequate and place should be condemned.
