The palace view Homestay & Restaurant is one of these places you don't want to leave. Every aspects of what you need in a homestay is here. Room: amazing cushion filled window place to read relaxing with the palace in the background. Clean, hot shower, and a nice bed to rest your head. This all completed with the beatiful painted decorations. Then we have the restaurant, most stunning view to the fort and the perfect sunset spot. The food is delicious, so after a hot day you dont have to go further then 10 meters from your room for food with a view.
But this all falls in the shade of lucky and his parents, Yes the whole family is amazing. They will make you really feel at home and are always ready to supply you with your needs. From arranging transport, to a cold bottle of water and all in between, you name it and they will facilitate. Stay at this homestay and Goodluck trying to leave.
Leaving!!!!
Perfect location with a close up view of the Palace from restaurant and rooftop and also the ideal sunset spot. Lucky and his entire family are the most kind, friendly and generous hosts I’ve ever had in all my travels and welcomed me like family. Taking care of their guests is a passion. Lucky gave me a tour by scooty to surrounding countryside and village and even took me to the train station in middle of night. The food cooked by Luckys parents was all lovingly made from scratch and delicious. I also had the opportunity to spend time with his two sweet young cousins and other family living next door. I learned much about Indian culture, religion and beliefs through conversations we had. The facilities are clean and comfortable and a great value. I truly hope to return to visit the Palace View Homestay and Lucky and his family. Thank you for an incredible enriching, heartwarming experience!
Nothing
From the very first moment, I was welcomed as if I were part of the family. My room, with its breathtaking view of the fort, was spotless – probably one of the cleanest rooms I’ve stayed in during my travels – and cared for with such attention to detail that it immediately felt like home. The whole place is so peaceful, far away from traffic or any kind of noise, that you can truly relax and slow down. The food in their restaurant is just amazing – they cook fresh specialties every day, and you can taste the love they put into it. And the rooftop terrace… what a dream! The perfect spot to watch the sun set over the fort or enjoy dinner under the stars. This is not just accommodation – it’s an authentic experience I’ll never forget, and one I highly recommend to anyone visiting Bundi.
Unfortunately I spent only one night there
I can’t say enough good things about the family that run this homestay! They go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The food is delicious and the view from the rooftop is incredible! It is a bit of a walk up to the homestay (just to know if you have mobility issues). I would happily stay here again!
This homestay was fantastic. We are so glad we got to spend a lovely few days here. The rooms were comfortable and clean, we especially loved the window seat overlooking the fort where we could sit and read. The rooftop again had stunning views of the fort and we enjoyed many meals here as the food was delicious. The owners cook everything fresh themselves (the Kaju masala was our favourite) and they were both so friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect, only a few minutes walk from the lake, the fort and palace gate.
Excellent host, excellent food, nothing was too much trouble. Room was well appointed, clean and all the plumbing worked. View to the fort was amazing. Excellent value for money.
Difficult accessibility for some people, no direct vehicular access. Not ideal parking for motorcycle although very safe.
- Best food we had in India so far
- Extremely friendly and helpful hosts
- Stunning view on the palace, especially during evening/night time
What an amazing stay! Mr Durga Singh, his wife and his son (as well as his 2 little daughters) were very hospitable and extraordinarily kind. The view from the room and the terrace is just breathtaking, the food was delicious and freshly homemade, but most importantly what made this stay special was Mr Durga Singh's and his wife smiles. The definition of a homestay. Thank you!
Great value for money if looking for budget stay. Clean, wonderful customer service, lovely family doing their absolutely best with limited resources. Owner lovingly painted rooms
In beautiful traditional style. Top floor room has lovely bay window with window bench and fantastic close view if the fort. Great location.
Entry tricky, no cars to roll bags up. Fairly steep alley. Not suitable for people with mobility issues.
Great place! The owners are very kind people, and the view from the window of my room and the terrace is amazing!!!
The hot water finish too fast, but it is no problem for me.
Amazing view, you feel you are living on fort itself. Rooms are cozy and homely. Host Mr. Durga Singh is quite helpful.
A great place to stay - very close to the palace and fort with the most amazing view of the palace. The view is from the room and rooftop. This is a new homestay and only two rooms available. The room is comfortable and well sized. The bed, an easy sleep, and facing the view. The host family are all very obliging and welcoming, attentive to every need. The included breakfast was home cooked and delicious. Dinner was possible as well upon request and very tasty vegetarian Indian food. There was hot water - a giza available with enough hot water for a shower. The restaurant outside seating area is welcome in the winter. to warm in the sun and enjoy the view. Wifi was not available at the time of our stay in Jan 2024 but there is a plan to connect soon. A driver may find the location difficult but if you get to the Palace entrance it is signposted and navigable on foot, through the narrow laneways.
