Le service, le parc, le petit déjeuner proposé.

Cons:

L’acoustique catastrophique entre la porte de la chambre et le couloir ainsi qu’avec la chambre du dessus (tous les pas résonnent), en total contradiction avec le côté majestueux du lieu et son environnement naturel.

Wunderbares Hotel auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt.
Pros:

Sehr ruhige Lage, trotzdem stadtnah am Spalenviertel mit schönen, individuellen Geschäften.
Großer parkähnlicher Garten. Der botanische Garten liegt zudem auf dem Fußweg zur Altstadt. Leckeres abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Behutsam saniertes, schönes altes Gebäude.

Guter Mix aus Tradition und Moderne. Schade dass die Lobby und Bar nur selten besetzt war, bzw. gesperrt war. Offensichtlich waren die Bediensteten dort auch fürs nebengelegene Restaurant zuständig. Obwohl Rechnungen im Restaurant nicht aufs Zimmer geschrieben werden konnten...
Das Personal (wenn da) war sehr freudlich!

A lovely place to come back to after touring Basel for a day or two.
Pros:

There is everything to like about this property. Clean, great location, friendly accommodating staff, beautiful facility with well maintained rooms, common areas and outside gardens. The lovely breakfast area and delicious food was a great start to each day.
