Pros:

Clean modern design. Bus stop and ski hire facilities were just next door and the food trucks are just across the road. Gorgeous balcony view looking towards the ski fields. Nice large bath tub

Cons:

There was no bar or cafe open during the day. After a very long day and night of travel, it would have been nice to have a coffee and something to eat in the lobby or inside the hotel, whilst we waited 2 hours for our room to be ready.
An onsen in the hotel would have been the perfect touch to this lovely new hotel.

I would certainly consider other options in future.
Pros:

My sister and I like the location and the fact that the room was big. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast spread was comprehensive and of high quality.

Cons:

There was a lack of amenities that I should have check up on before I booked the room. Given its high ratings on Booking.com, I booked it blindly before realising that it has no spa facilities or public onsen or even a gym to unwind or recuperate after a day of skiing. There was also a lack of activities or excursions organised for guests which I really expected at the very least since this hotel is located without it being close to many amenities or facilities. I also found that the room was very, very expensive given that many other hotels or ryokans offered dinners and other standard amenities at a much more reasonable price.

Pros:

Superbe établissement. Chambres magnifiques, décoration soignée. Personnel extrêmement sympathique, arrangeant et attentionné. Très bon restaurant. Facilité d’accès aux différents domaines skiables.

Overall disappointment: Overall, we were very disappointed with the experience and would not choose

Other than the location, nothing else.

Cons:

Unaccommodating staff: The staff were generally not helpful or accommodating throughout our stay.

Not toddler / family friendly: We were traveling with toddlers and the hotel was very unaccommodating when it came to helping us provide food for them at specific hours.

Overly stringent / inflexible service: The hotel felt unnecessarily strict and inflexible, rather than welcoming and solution-oriented.

Poorly equipped kitchen despite having one: The room included a kitchen, but it was missing many basic essentials and kitchen equipment.

No basic pantry items provided: There wasn’t even simple basics like salt and pepper.

Food timing was inconvenient: The meal timings and availability didn’t make sense for a family stay, especially with young children.

Breakfast restrictions: Breakfast could only be eaten at the buffet and was not available via in-room dining, which was inconvenient with toddlers.

Limited in-room dining options: Room service/in-room dining options were very limited.

Not a 5-star standard experience: The food options and overall service did not feel up to a 5-star standard.

Stressful to feed the family in Hakuba: Because Hakuba has very limited/no delivery services, we relied heavily on the hotel, but getting food for the family was unnecessarily stressful.

This is a beautiful hotel but the lack of amenities it offers plus the pretty high price tag lets it down
Pros:

Beautifully styled hotel with exceptional staff. It’s not that close to the slopes but the hotel runs a very efficient shuttle bus service

Cons:

The lack of facilities, no bar, sauna, spa not even room service
