The Beach Suite at The Mactan Newtown

I booked for 5 adult and you Booking.com reply with 2 adults only when payed the booking.whereas its was adifferent price for 2 adults only.so i paid an extra for the 3 extra person...there was nobody to talk to on your behalf...i dont know if this is your way to scam costumers...but its so shit when you like to relax and you make it stressful

Owner cancelled accomodation only 1 day before I was supposed to move in. That happened during the festival, when it was nearly impossible to find alternative accomodation. To be worse he hesitated to cancel through www.booking.com and tried to convince me that I'm the one who was supposed to cancel through www.booking.com, so that he doesn't have to compensate me. He was trying to blame technical issues with the apartment for this by sending unplausable photos. I reported him to Customer Service and eventually was compensated. AVOID THIS HOST AS A PLEAGUE if you don't want your vacation to be turned into a night mare.
www.booking.com dealt with the issue magnificantly. They offered 2 options: 1) to be fully compensated; 2) to find alternative accomodation throught their platform for the same period of time for the price that may exceed price of booked apartment up to 3000-4000PHP (arounf 50EUR)

The apartment had the most unpleasant smell on arrival, damp and completely unventilated. I reported to host via booking.com site. No reply. We went to bed after eating locally, the smell was so overwhelmingly awful in the apartment we both gagged.
When we woke in the morning, the walls and windows were dripping with condensation. The furniture was wet, the floor was wet and we opened all the doors. We realised then, there was no absolutely no ventilation. Even the remote control had a plastic covering on it, so we know this was not an isolated incident. The host must have been well aware of the unhygienic state of the place. I wouldn't wish this apartment on my worst enemy. We left soon after we woke up in damp clothes.

房间发霉的味道很大，洗过晾干的衣服都是。开始没有wifi，和房东沟通了才提供了一个临时的，订房时写得有的，房东还在email写了密码什么的。网速也一般。关键是洗澡水太差，热水器是那种热得快，水压不稳定就不热，当天就洗了冷水澡。入住当天客厅里的空调机冷凝水滴漏很严重，叫了工作人员才搞好，否则没法住。和房东沟通很费劲。总之，这次入住体验很不好。

The whole add is a con, nowhere near the beach as photos suggested. The bed had stains on the sheets as well as on blanket. The cooktop was rusty, unhygienic and discusting. The wardrobe had broken hinges and was filthy inside, I wouldn't have let my dog sleep in it. The floor had numerous broken tiles and the silicone in bathroom had mould and looked like a 2year old kid did it. Never again there!

Based on the photos and the name The Beach Suite, we expected the property to be beachfront, but unfortunately it wasn’t. We also had difficulty locating the place because we thought The Beach Suite was the name of the resort. The property itself is quite old; however, the infinity pool is absolutely divine. Overall, I would still give it a 5-star rating. I just suggest not posting beach photos in the future, as the beach is quite far from the accommodation.

I’m beyond dissatisfied with my stay at this Airbnb. First off, we were not given a key to the property, which made it incredibly stressful. Without a key, I was afraid to leave the premises for fear that I wouldn’t be able to get back in. It felt completely unsafe and unprofessional.

To make matters worse, there was no parking lot available, and the place didn’t seem very secure for street parking, so we were stuck trying to figure that out, which added more unnecessary stress to the whole experience.

What really pushed this over the edge was the host being unreachable. We tried multiple times to contact them about the key and the parking situation but received no response. It's incredibly frustrating when you're paying for a service and can't get any support, especially in a situation like this.

Overall, we were utterly dissatisfied and felt unsafe and unsupported during our stay. I would not recommend this Airbnb to anyone, and I certainly won't be returning.

Lack of bedding and rock hard pillows was a negative.

Les matelas d’appoint auraient vraiment besoin d’être changés, vraiment très inconfortables ! La piscine était vraiment géniale, mais les 350 pesos pour accéder à la plage sont quand même élevés, compte tenu des tarifs de l’hôtel.

Nothing not to like about this place except leaving there.
