We had a good welcome from the owner (thank you) who spoke excellent English and who was very witty.
The hotel is packed with antiques, curios and things of interest. The breakfast room is full of clocks of all kinds. Very interesting.

We had a lovely big room at the top of the hotel which had a huge window with great views over the town and a bonus of an amazing electrical storm!
Parking is excellent at the rear of the hotel.
Location is very good and close to the nearby forest and country walks which we enjoyed very much.
The wifi is atrocious/non existent throughout the hotel. Our room, 203, had no WiFi whatsoever. The room paperwork advised us to "choose which wifi signal is most appropriate" - none were!
The bathroom has no extractor fan despite being a modern shower riom, therefore became very steamy.
Towels were wafer thin.

Very charming hotel, spacious and comfortable room. The bathroom was nice, as was the pool. The breakfast was good with various options.
La demeure qui donne l'impression de venir chez l'hôte, plutôt qu'à l'hotel. La chambre spacieuse avec vue dominant la ville, la salle de bain rénovée, le petit déjeuner (les œufs et le pain au top) et surtout le personnel très attentif et serviable.
