The food and the service was exceptional.
The 6 AM next-door construction project was a bit annoying. Breakfast is not available of any kind..
Being on the beach and very friendly staff.
I paid for luxury family room but I received was small room with no refrigerator in it. I had to spend money every day for buying cold water and …
located directly on the beach
Hotel could be a great place, but lacks maintenance, from shower door poorly hanging, water dripping from the shower head due to the calcium buildup, lack of storage space, yes there was closet with shelving and hanging part, but due to the tight space, not easiest to get to, bathroom had limited amount of space to put things at etc... The resort had a pool with launch chairs, which were never dressed by cushions, I guess due to the evening rain, but what about the rest of the day? Restaurant even though had pretty good food was extremely expensive, dinner for 3 including 2 drinks, nothing fancy, was $180, ridiculously expensive. In the front of our rooms, the space was used to store cushions from the chairs, staff would meet there to discuss the plan for the day, right in the front of our windows, lack of feet washing spout or shower by the beach side, when entering the hotel space again was also inconvenient since the beaches are black sand. All in all, Staff was very friendly and welcoming, however, we would not come back to this place, did not feel comfortable. Which is shame, as it could be truly pretty cool place with little money invested into the maintenance and little more love from the management.
The staff is very friendly. Nice place and close enough to town.
Leo. Stay away from Leo. He is not part of Cafe de playa but rents the middle office. He will lie the moment he opens his mouth. It is time share. Do not let him help you book excursions.
The property was located on the beach and comfortable for a short stay.
The hotel restaurant was a bit pricey and the room did not have a television.
Great location, right on the beach.
Nice friendly staff.
Room was a little dated.
Beachfront
Food was good and service was also good
The beds were comfortable
The motel rooms need remodeling. Bathroom shower grout dirty and sink barely draining. The A/C barely worked so the room was too warm all night.
Mothball scent was so strong, we had trouble sleeping. We were staying here for only one night so didn’t complain but had we been planning on a longer stay, we would have asked for a different room or looked for somewhere else to stay.
