The staff are exceptional and food was amazing. Shame Breakfast wasnt served earlier and the pub was a little noisy in the rooms.

Fantastic location, very clean, great food, amazing staff. This was our second visit and I’m sure certainly not the last.
The only problem was the room we had; unfortunately the room was on the ground floor and situated at the front of the property, it was extremely noisy with all the passing traffic; were we’re awake from 5am and couldn’t get back to sleep plus we must have been near the cleaners room because around 6.15am we heard someone cleaning, restocking supplies etc which was unfortunate. When we book next time we will certainly as for a room upstairs as we had none of these problems the first time. I must stress everything else was amazing…
Just such a lovely stay.
The location suited our reason for our visit.
It is not suited for residents. No lounge area and we were asked not to sit at the tables whilst having a drink as they were needed for dinners. On two evenings whilst having to sit at the bar the staff started to clean the pipes through for the beer pumps and mop the floors.. it was 8.30pm! Very unwelcoming …Had to constantly ask for the tea tray in our room to be refilled. Very little effort made to make our 4 night stay feel comfortable.

Location was perfect, room was good but as a building of this age you can hear people downstairs but it was not too bad or too late and we slept very well. Very nice breakfast and great staff also has a car park.
