True family atmosphere, great communication from the get go, wonderful staff, owner Abdoul is a great guy that takes his time to get to know you and helps with everything. Studio was clean and big and the food is amazing 🤩 And having a rooftop view during breakfast and dinner is awesome 👍
Mattress could have been a bit thicker, could feel the springs slightly.
L'accueil chalzueeux et à la fois professionnel, le sens du devoir er du service. Étant arrivée de nuit à l'aéroport , Abdul le gérant a été très réactif pour chacune de les requêtes, a assuré mon transfert de l'aéroport à sa résidence et a été très disponible. Son équipe a été tout aussi investie pour rendre mon séjour mémorable. L'offre des excursions était variée , ce qui m'a permis de visiter les lieux et monuments symboliques de Dakar en un temps cours. Pour résumer, cet établissement porte très bien son nom car je m'y suis sentie au sein d'une famille. Je les remercie vivement

The owner, Abdoul, is very kind. He helped us arrange drivers for various trips at very good prices. He also shared a lot of interesting information about Senegal and was always available on WhatsApp. You could always ask him for help or information without any problem. Breakfast was nice and light. There was an omelet, fresh baguettes with butter, soy balls, and some fruit. You could get to various attractions very cheaply using the Senegalese equivalent of Uber — Yango.
Kakatar Family Residence nasce in un quartiere vivace, colorato e a mio avviso tranquillo. Ho viaggiato da sola e non ho mai avuto problemi di camminare da sola.
Il proprietario Abdul é una persona speciale, molto disponibile, molto accogliente e precisa. La comunicazione sia via Booking che Whatsapp è sempre stata ottima. Mi ha dato spunti e consigli per esplorare Yoff e Dakar.
La camera monolocale è molto spaziosa e dotata di aria condizionata, ventilatore, frigorifero, microonde e bollitore.
La vista dal terrazzo permette di vedere e ascoltare l’Oceano e respirare aria fresca lontano dallo smog e dal traffico cittadino.
La colazione in terrazza è servita dalle 8:00. É semplice ma sostanziosa: pane, omelette, frittelle dolci, burro, succo di frutta, banana e caffè.
Christine mi ha accompagnata a ritirare dei soldi al bancomat avendo avuto problemi con l’avvio sia di Orange Money sia di Wave. É stato bello passeggiare intorno al residence e scoprire un po’ di più il quartiere.

Nonostante alcuni punti negativi (tutti migliorabili!) mi sento di consigliare questa struttura per l’accoglienza, il quartiere e per il rapporto qualità-prezzo 😉
La pressione dell’acqua nella doccia. Acqua calda ok però. Ne ho parlato con Abdul, pare che la cosa verrà sistemata.
Ho trovato tre blatte in camera l’ultima notte 😭 Lo stabile è pulito. Nonostante fossi al terzo piano forse questi insetti sono riusciti a risalire le tubature di scarico (escono di sera quando di giorno c’è stato caldo 🫤)

Pagare con la carta di credito richiede un surcharge aggiuntivo del 6%. Munirsi di contanti a sufficienza se non si é sicuri di poter utilizzare Orange Money o Wave.

The manager is a great guy! Had lots of pleasant and insightful conversations with him - one of the best things of my stay in Dakar.
Abdoul, the manager is always helpful. He also arranged a pick-up from the airport for us as we arrived late at night. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and helpful, although their English is not very good. Great breakfast on the roof. The rooms could do with a renovation.
We walked to the local beach of Yoff and I never felt unsafe (but there were four of us). There are nice walks along the beach - be aware of the litter.
The manager was very personable and helpful. Great to chat with with.

Kakatar residence is a home away from home! Beautiful roof terace with laid back friendly atmosphere and a great view over Yoff and the sea. The staff is doing everything to make you feel at home and help you out. Couldnt wish for a better place and vibe!
