Opulence on George Street in the midst of great restaurants and shops.
Pros:

Everything was of a very high standard, helpful friendly staff and wonderful pastries in the lounge.

Cons:

The pillows were hollow fibre filled, so not very comfortable.

Pros:

Righ residences was excellent for our first trip to Edinburgh. After 30+ hours of travel we arrived prior to check in time, and the staff were exceptional, had our room organised to check in early and whilst we waited showed us to the lounge where there were pastries and a coffee machine available. Well set up rooms and very clean. Great central location.

My room was in the middle of the construction people was working right outside my window we have to keep curtains closed all the time. The stuff knew this before we booked but still reserved the room

High Quality Apartment centrally located in the New Town.
Pros:

It is a high quality apartment in the centre of the New Town. Perfectly positioned to walk down to Stockbridge, and across the other side to walk up to the Old Town. But, it was a little soulless, with the focus on eliminating any need for human contact (no reception, just a computer with a menu limited to 'check-in' or 'check-in'). It was all co-ordinated with back up instructions provided by emails regularly. Which was fine.

Cons:

It was expensive, for no service beyond supply of a secure central location with a bedroom. Albeit it WAS a quality room with a well maintained building.
