We loved our cottage. The bed was firm, there was water in a thermos for morning tea on the porch, it was spotless, as well as cool enough to sleep with open windows & only a fan listening to the geckos & cicadas. The dinner & breakfast were fresh & delicious too. It’s such a tranquil place after the big smoke of Bangalore.
But the best thing about Hirvate is the owner & host Samrat, who, along with his wife Trupti, manages the coffee side of things as well as the hotel. (And the coffee is great). We were lucky enough to have his company in the club room & learned much about India & its colonial past. He is a wonderfully endearing host.
Nothing at all.
This was a truly lovely stay on a coffee estate. It was wonderfully peaceful with lovely walks in the grounds. The rooms were spacious and well maintained, clean and comfortable and tastefully furnished. Food was absolutely amazing - far exceeded our expectations. What really stood out was the welcoming hospitality of the host, who told us all about the history of the area and the estate. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and our stay at Hirvate.
We enjoyed everything.
The hosts were very friendly. The place was very clean and the beds were very comfortable.
Peacocks and birds make the place come alive in the morning.
The barking dogs made it very difficult to sleep at night.
Enjoyed our stay at Hiravate! All the meals served were outstanding! Special thanks to Amar who took good care of us:) Would love to visit again (hopefully at a time when its not raining too much!)

Natural surroundings with fauna and flora. Clean, pollution free wnvironment. Organic fresh food. Peaceful and serene. geenerous hosts and homely stmosphere.
walkways and footpahs should be improved.,
Very private self contained cabanas w its own veranda and porch. The owner gave us a historical tour of the house and history of his family, w links to Ghandi and the general who helped gain Independence for India.
In the morning we walked the plantation and learned how coffee was grown seed to table. We were presented w additional gifts of their best coffee to take home.
Our pictures of the property and us posing was worthy of the Gram.
One of the dogs unfortunately was barking at perhaps some animal intruder at night
For us, Hirvate Estate was like an oasis in the wilderness. On arrival the first thing we saw was an elegant manor house and close by, four charming fully equipped bungalows, one of which was ours. We enjoyed the quiet relaxation of being there and especially the coffee (his!) and treats brought to us on the on the verandah...breakfast was great too!!
Exploring their working coffee and pepper plantation was an experience in itself.
Our one regret was we should have stayed longer. So much to delight!
Very serene and green estate with lovely, spacious cottages. Perfect weekend getaway from Bangalore. Food was home-style and delicious, and the hosts (Samrat and Trupti) went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay memorable.
Set in a huge coffee plantation near sakleshpur, this place is just absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are beautiful with colonial vibes and the facilities are perfect. This is a quite home stay with luxuries of a resort. The best part though is the warmth and friendliness of the staff and the food - the food was just mind blowing
Nothing
heritage property amidst coffee plantation.. the rooms are clean, the food is to die for, waking up to peacock’s cacophony and walking through the coffee plantation, it’s a beautiful place to unwind, take it slow and rejuvenate..
do have a chat with Trupti and Samrat to know about the legacy of this place.
Hirvate Estate is a beautifully maintained property with large rooms, well equipped and comfortable. the hosts and the staff are very helpful. the food was delicious with lot of local flavours.
Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a beautiful club house with a big fireplace.
The four cottages are very well decorated and overlook a lovely garden.
If you like the idea of spending time on a coffee plantation in the countryside, guarded by four very friendly dogs, this is a wonderful place to choose ! After visiting the magnificent temples of Belur and Halibeedu, you can come back for tea or coffee around 4 p.m. and spend time reading and resting on the patio or decide to go for a walk around the plantation. The staff is very dedicated and we felt pampered. The atmosphere of the estate is very special.
