Rustic Beaverfoot Lodge Room N6

El camino para llegar está en terribles condiciones y son más de 14km conduciendo por la nada absoluta. Llegamos sobre las 21hs y para el check in ni nos preguntaron el nombre ni ningún otro dato. En el alojamiento no había luz ni tampoco agua caliente para poder darse una ducha y las paredes son tan finas que se escucha absolutamente todo. Ademas de ni un solo enchufe en toda la habitación y había que compartir dos baños con muuucha gente. Íbamos a quedarnos 3 noches y solo estuvimos una, tuvimos que reservar otra hotel in extremis porque las condiciones del lugar eran pésimas.

The best thing about this place is that they let us cancel our reservation for free so we could go somewhere else.. felt uncomfortable from the moment we arrived.. first of all you have to drive down a dirt road full of potholes a good 45 min from Golden, which is the nearest place you can find anything.. to then arrive there, and no one comes out to welcome you. We went in and this teenage girl who looked like she had no clue about anything came down and it felt like we had just entered someone's house uninvited and they weren't expecting anyone at all. My partner stated we had a reservation (we had booked a room with shared bathroom) and I don't know why, but she thought we wanted to make one, she looked like she had just come out of another planet honestly, ok fine misunderstandings happen, she then checked on a laptop and found our reservation and explained a few things about the property, including the fact that after 11pm we would be left with no electricity at all cause they had to shut down the generator at night.. (probably because it makes a lot of noise) and we thought that was something that needed to be mentioned beforehand, because we were travelling and charged all our devices at night. We mentioned that and she called her boyfriend, another teenage looking guy, that said he could give us a power bank and ok, fine.. Anyway, she showed us the room and toilet and then left us. Everything looked clean but then while checking the toilet and shower out we realised it was freezing in there, and we were wearing clothes and could feel it, imagine in the morning without clothes what it could be. It was only beginning of June and temperatures were still chilly over there. Only the living room had a fireplace in the middle of it and that's it. Didn't sleep there so don't know how cold it would have been at night but probably a bit. Zero hospitality though and zero communication.

Kein funktionierender Stromaschnluss im Zimmer. Nachts gibt es im Haus keinen Strom. Das Wasser im Bad ist eiskalt. Die Betten sind mit einfachen Holzlatten zusammengebastelt. Die Matratzen sind uralt und ausgelegen. Der Preis von umgerechnet 111€ ist eine Frechheit

No hot water, no light, no kitchen, no fridge. No explanation. They use a gas motor for electricity a few hours but the rest of the day you wont be able to use any electricity.

No sabíamos dónde fregar las cosas de la cena. Se oía bastante el resto de habitaciones, pero no en horas de descanso. El wifi no iba demasiado bien, aunque teniendo en cuenta la zona, en la que está, era comprensible.

The access road was in poor condition. It appeared to be unmaintained. The shared bathroom was insufficient for the number of guests using it.

Let op, laatste 20 km is een gravel road met flinke gaten in de weg. De kamers zijn zeer basic, daarnaast kraakt de vloer van de bovenverdieping waardoor je nachts vaak wakker wordt van andere gasten.
Samen gevat een zeer basic hostel op een onhandige plek

Die Abfahrt auf der Feldwegstraße ist etwas weit. Außer Toaster und Mikrowelle gab es in dieser lodge wo man sich selbst verpflegen musste, keine Kochmöglichkeiten. Das fehlte mir.

Wo soll man da anfangen. Die Küche ist nicht voll ausgestattet, es gibt keinen Herd. Das Gemeinschaftsbad war schmutzig, die Zimmer waren viel zu klein mit kleinem Fenster, lüften kaum möglich. Die Annonce bei Booking suggeriert, dass man ein eigenes kleines Haus mietet, was nicht der Fall war.

Extremely uncomfortable bed. Floor creaked very time you moved in the bed. Very noisy in the building. Rooms too close to each other. Appliances in the kitchen were under powered. Overpriced for what you had there.

The way to this housing is terrible - be prepared to go 10-20 km/h for around 8 km with no service.
Unfortunately flushing the toilet paper was broken during our stay but we see it as minor inconvenience.
