Comfy bed with a small sofa, but noise due to the pub, no heating not on and no electricity when I woke up . On top of m
Pros:

The room was big enough , bed comfortable, and there was a medium size corner sofa on top of a en suite . The towel radiator in the bathroom was not heating so anything needed drying didn’t dry .Being an old bulldog the windows where not well noise isolating and draft could come in . The staff were very kind and provided me with a hairdryer when I asked .
Somehow I couldn’t connect to the WiFi ( it could be me ).
Why I have given this feedback is because my room was only in first floor next to the Main Street , despite I requested a quiet room .
I could hear people talking until the pub was as close . , I did not sleep very well because of that .as well as a non smoker I could smell smok
When I worked up there was no electricity so I couldn’t see my stuff around the room nor use the hair dryer . As a non smoker I could smell smoke in the bedsheets.

Cons:

Charles Dickenson Value for money.
Pros:

The staff members were friendly and helpful.
Had a wonderful stay! The location is close to landmarks.
The room was sparkling clean and comfortable. I loved that Netflix was available . The noise from the bar wasn't as bad as I'd expected. It was fun.
Good value for money.
I highly recommend it!"

Cons:

Nothing.

It was okay
Pros:

It was a higher room like in the loft room. There was a pub below

Cons:

It was very noisy at night people walking into their rooms and doors banging as it was very compact. The area was quite intimidating my car was not left on the front as some of the customers from the pub made comments on the car as we were entering the building.

Pros:

Locality, a good pub, good beer. Been going there for decades. Since refurbishing a few years ago it is competitive for a town centre location.

Cons:

TV didn't work , but a man was due to come and fix it. I didn't need the TV, just wanted to check something unimportant. Doors need a bit of adjustment as locks don't quite align. Needed a shove.

Came to sleep. Definitely did not choose well.Had I come to sing and party it would have been excellent.Lesson learned:
Pros:

Clean. Friendly staff. Ok location. Pleasant drunken revellers. Request for a towel swiftly remedied
Great bath with plenty of water

Cons:

Loud music and karaoke played until 1am (I was assured on arrival that midnight was cut off for music). Loud conversation and occasional shouting from enthusiastic patrons until 1.45 am.
Wall light not functioning
No WiFi (not the fault of the property but a BT failure in area)

Pros:

Room was basic but clean with comfortable bed. Small bathroom that had all the necessities.
Access is via the pub.
Staff secured my bag for the day as I was early for check in, thanks.

Cons:

Must be honest that this is a low quality accommodation. The pub below the rooms is in poor condition and surrounding buildings and the area of Wigan Centre is also quite poor.

If you are looking for somewhere to simply lay your head for a few hours (like I was) then great but don't expect much else.

Entertainment downstairs is loud but it was a Friday night music died off around 1 but it wasn't too bad.
We both enjoyed our night here and would definitely recommend prices of drinks not bad either.
