A great Hotel but sadly it let’s itself down by evidently reducing overheads which spoils the experience and doesn’t war
Pros:

The decor, location and breakfast

Cons:

When booking the hotel, we weren’t informed they didn’t serve dinner on Sunday evenings. The hotel staff were very attentive but the one thing that really got me was refusing to put on the second fire in bar / lounge area where we and others had to sit due to limited space, as I was informed “logs are expensive” (the fireplace was logged up and ready to be lit). Given we had paid for x3 rooms and lunch at the hotel that really didn’t sit well and felt very tight, especially as there were at least 3 groups of people in the second bar area and the first room had a lit fire. Disappointing when the decor and set up is geared for an open fireplace and it being the festive period

The Sunday menu was very limited in choice and no evening service. Dinner was ok but nothing to really write home about.

Great cosy night stay in a central location
Pros:

Great location in Yarmouth town. Near the ferry and parking behind the hotel free in short stay between 6 pm 10 am. Good breakfast

Cons:

Noisy at night. Old hotel and floors creek. Especially obvious when people returning to the hotel late in the evening. Would have preferred a walk in shower. Shower was over the Bath.

I visit once a year, I enjoy the comfort, I will return perhaps more often.
Pros:

Not as good as expected.
The menu was impressive but food not so.
A richer buffet is necessary.

Cons:

As above
