Great stay at this centrally located gem.
Pros:

Breakfast was cold buffet but with lots of options, especially fruit. Excellent coffee, an important thing! Really well kept room. Small but perfectly comfortable.

Cons:

Not much to not like. Person at the front desk was not always there but that's understandable during the off-season.

Pros:

Charming atmosphere and vibes; really nicely decorated; excellent location; very comfortable bed; coffee making facilities in room; beautifully appointed bathroom and very clean.

Cons:

Street-level room opposite an Irish pub without double-glazing (not a huge deal in November but even so, it was noisy during the night!). Breakfast didn't quite meet expectations (all baked good were chilled, with one moderately proficient toaster; weak coffee); staff weren't very friendly. Pricey- but perhaps not for Newport!
