Lovely hotel, nice area, near restaurants and cafes. Close to railway station.
Pros:

Straight forward check in - took c/card details. Did not realise they took deposit and were slow to refund. Emailled back and forward after we left, still took 24-36 hours to get money back. Which meant daghter had no funds on next destination.

Cons:

As above. If reception had room service menu it would have allowed us to see if there was suitable food in hotel. As it was we had to go to room, decide, then come back down again.

Tired hotel and lacking staff / attention
Pros:

The area was convenient for getting to places. The iron was quite good and functional!

Cons:

There was no attention from hotel staff and receptionists seem to be nowhere to be found most of the time, and when they did, they seemed a bit clueless. Our room was on this extremely busy road so it was quite an ugly view and was quite loud - something you couldn't see from the photos online. The hotel was quite tired. The hairdryer was extremely old and small and was very hard to dry long hair with. The entire hotel was very tired and in need of a renovation.

Poor customer experience but lovely, clean and convenient accomodation.
Pros:

The property was gorgeous. A beautiful rustic feel and I loved how the incorporated the history of the building within the styling of the hotel. Very comfortable beds and clean rooms that are situated in the middle of the city and right next to spice alley.

Cons:

Unfortunately the staff and overall guest experience was very poor and I’m not one to leave a bad review. The hotel phone and front desk is poorly monitored and the pool had events on so we were not able to use the pool at all. We weren’t informed of this until we checked in. Check out was also difficult as the staff member didn’t provide us the key to get to our car so we did a lot of unnecessary back and forth.

We were offered a free room upgrade for the inconvenience which was a lovely gesture but the mixture of the experience was an overall disappointment. Maybe just an off day I hope?

Loved the hotel but not the parking
Pros:

Very comfortable. Great location. Modern feel.

Cons:

Parking was a nightmare. Wrong instructions, no idea where to park and where not to park.
Token to and from reception not good.
Won’t stay again if we drive.

Central and spacious
Pros:

Great location, very central and well connected, and surrounded by places to shop and eat. Beds and room were large, clean and comfortable. Decent value for money given the deal we got for the room.

Cons:

Please be aware even rooms with two separate beds had frosted glass toilet and shower. We couldn’t access the rooftop most nights (even once when it said it was open, the lights were off and no staff were around). I would say more 3 star hotel in terms of service and amenities.
