The upgrades to the rooms are lovely. I was there 6 years ago and they have really done well with their renovations. The complimentary minibar is a wonderful touch!
I was sad that the fireplace was not functioning due to maintenance but that was the only issue.

Wish we stayed here longer, the grounds to the hotel are amazing. Lovely to explore all the farm area, farm shops, river, ponds, restaurants and cafes, have a run in the morning and walk round the gardens. The food and drinks here were first class. The pool area felt very soho farmhouse and the service was great.
We had a wine tasting included, breakfast in the morning was amazing which included continental and cooked. You didn’t even need to leave the hotel but it is well located to travel from airport and to Stellenbosch.

Walked 7kms through the farm following the bike path and was blown away with the exquisite gardens.
It was nothing like I have seen anywhere in South Africa. And being an interior designer, the decor was understated luxury at its best.
the only complaint I have was that there was no long mirror in the rooms??
