Great location in a more authentic Saigon locality in Tan Dinh - easy walk to the Pink Cathedral, Tan Dinh Market and famous Banh Xeo local restaurant with a nice streetside balcony.
Staff were lovely, very young and super friendly; not always around the reception area as they advised on check in but always contactable on WhatApp if you needed anything like confirming your preferred cleaning days, extra kitchenware, etc. And they usually actioned requests a few hours after.
Rooms comfortable, stylish and secure; lots of hot water in shower (not always the case elsewhere). Nice little touches like complimentary water dispenser in the communal basement (when you checked in / staff cleaned the room your water jug was thoughtfully filled up for you) and washing machines with detergent for guest use, also in the basement - I didn't use them but other guests made the most of this.
I would definitely book Express by M Village again, quite happy with it.
If you had to leave early for airport (5am), you had to open the main entrance gate with your room key card as it was locked overnight and no reception staff around that early; you then had to put your pass back on the reception desk before leaving. Actually, this all worked fine, but was nervous could be locked in and / or no one around to help me get out of the building for the airport run!
Also the kitchenette was a bit bare for basic utensils like pans, cups etc; I needed mugs and teaspoons but staff sent these up straight away to my room.

Staff limitations in speaking English, I also had to wait more than one hour for them to locate my reservation.
Great location in the middle of District 1, spacious rooms providing great comfort during my stay, complimentary self service laundry in the basement.
Location within the city centre also means some unwanted noise in the early hours of the day.
