Good location
Not many staff on duty
Hoping to use pool but the smell of chlorine was overwhelming
Staff pleasant but place run down
Room was basic. No A/C, towels were clean. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. We checked in late in the evening. The manager was nice enough to open up the bar for us to have a beer.
Room was very basic and aged. Bathroom towel was not clean
Breakfast was nice, room was good and the ground looks great. The swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi were great. Plenty of parking and the local town was only a short drive away.
Room didn't have air conditioning so during the hot weather to room was very warm. It was a combined bath/shower, would prefer a separate shower but this is being very picky now.
DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!!!
There was no hot water, the staff did not help resolve the issue. They let 2 vulnerable women and a young child leave in the night with no regard for their safety. They have not tried to resolve the formal complaint I have submitted about the poor standard. The room was not as described when booked and when a refund was requested this was denied. Extremely poor customer service and no regard for guests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
The lack of hot water to the room which meant we were not able to have a hot or even a warm shower. My sister had completed the Race to the Stones ultramarathon that day and needed the facilities to rest and relax afterwards. Unfortunately the room we were allocated was not as described when booked, you expect a hotel room to be functional which includes having hot water! The response I received was ‘the boiler has been turned off, no one wants a hot shower in this weather’, terrible experience, the staff did not seem to understand what the issue was and why we wanted a refund for the room. I have submitted a formal complaint which they have ignored. Absolutely shocking! Do not give them your money, they do not deserve it! Certainly not value for money.
The whole place looks like it’s in disrepair, the only positive was that it was clean.
The Gym was very nice. Looks like just been renovated.
Hotel a bit outdated.
The gym facilities were very good. There were plenty of machines and free weights to use and the gym was very clean.
The room was very tired looking. My room had at least 10 flies in the room. I woke up in the morning with 2 bites on my arm. If i had planned to stay here more than one night I would have cancelled the room.
The breakfast selection was also very poor. For dinner I waited almost 30 mins for a microwaved burger.
Very helpful staff on arrival. Clean and well presented room. Swimming pool itself very good but surround was 'work in progress'. Sauna lovely. Evening meal & breakfast good choices and service. Peaceful and nice view over the Golf Course.
The reviews gave it a bad image so we were very surprised to find it so good. Odd places were a little bit shabby but nothing to spoil our stay. There was nothing I really did not like.

Advertised as a golf and leisure resort but more like a building site with a pool and hot tub sauna was off steam room didn’t exist and ladies had to walk through the men’s changing room I had 5 rooms booked for family and friends everyone of us has got bed bud bites corridors was half plastered avoid at all costs
Friendly and helpful staff
Room not as per booking.com description. Had to wait 1 hour for room to be ready even though arrival time communicated, TV not working had to be replaced, bathroom extractor fan very loud, making grinding sound and needed replacing.
The room was spacious
The venue is tired, the rooms are tired and not the cleanest, pillows are so thin, you have very little employees having to cover everything, the service was slow at every stage, check in, breakfast. The moth farm is next door so don't open your windows unless you want unwanted guests joining you when you sleep.

Staff were exceptional, both evening and morning very pleasant and couldn't be more helpful, a real asset.
No power points next to the bed, not so much a problem for phone charging, but we have to use a cpap breathing monitor, fortunately we carry an extension lead for such eventualities.
