Weekend in Devizes
Pros:

We stayed in the 4 poster room, it was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. Philip and the rest of the staff made us feel very welcome upon arrival and breakfast was fantastic

Best hotel in Devizes. Lovely spacious room. Friendly and very helpful staff.
Pros:

Lovely spacious room and bathroom with both a shower and separate bath. Large very comfortable bed.
Super breakfast. Loved the separate sitting rooms. Central location.

Cons:

The restaurant and wine bar are currently closed. This is why I didn't give a top score for facilities.

Beautiful hotel with very helpful owners and staff
Pros:

Great location, right in the heart of the town.
The rooms are beautiful! Modernised in a sympathetic way to the age of the building but to a very high standard with everything you need for a pleasant stay - the beds are very comfortable with lovely bedding.
I was given a free upgrade to the bridal suite which was a lovely surprise!

Cons:

Nothing

Nice base for a stay in Devizes. Easy access to the canal and local buses.
Pros:

Owner was friendly and helpful at check in. Useful email notifications about check in procedure and parking. Very central. Nice cooked breakfast, various usual lighter options.

Cons:

TV in room operated through apps / internet, rather than usual free view channel list. Owner explained that an aerial is being fitted, to enable “normal” access to TV programmes. Breakfast - could have done with some fruit option, e.g. fruit salad or berries.

Central
Pros:

Great location, lovely hotel, clean & tidy, nice staff

Cons:

No internet easily available- no WiFi password left in room, had to log into tv channels to watch as very bad signal on tv. Lovely but on the more expensive side for what it is.

In conclusion I was looking forward to staying in a 5 star hotel but was disappointed
Pros:

Disappointing, no sugar on the cereal table, had to ask the waitress to bring spoon sugar - cube sugar was not suitable.the second morning I requested poached eggs on muffin, the eggs must have been taken straight from the water into the muffin making the muffin very soggy not making it edible the eggs were ok.

Cons:

I was amazed the listing was 5 star, they’re were occasions where no one was on reception,no one
to help with my case, my room was right at the top, a single room no wardrobe only place I could hang my dress (for the wedding Id come to attend) were 5 hooks on the back of the door.
Whilst I understand the property is 15/16th century I was surprised at the lack of assistance ie to carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs, that said the en suite was stunning really quite beautiful . I was occupying a single room which probably justified the cost of £220.80 including breakfast, and in fairness it was a latish booking, but honestly I was disappointed.
