Pros:

Absolutely stunning hotel with exceptional service. The most beautiful property, small and luxurious, with incredible scented plants everywhere. Best service I’ve ever received, with the smiliest, most positive and helpful staff. Views are breathtaking, food is excellent. Really beautiful heated pool and loungers. A slice of heaven

Pros:

Casablu is a beautiful hotel set in the hills overlooking the ocean. The pool area, gardens, and common areas are very designed and well kept. The room was large, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean.

Cons:

My wife and I were disappointed with our stay at Casablu. First, the hotel is difficult to reach — not necessarily the hotel’s fault, but it should be clearly stated. Even short trips take quite a bit of time since you have to descend the mountain to reach the highway.

We booked the King Room, which in the photos appeared to have a private terrace. In reality, the terrace is shared with the common hallway, so it’s not private at all. Because the terrace door is directly off the hallway, the room doesn’t feel private even when you’re inside — we had to keep the curtains drawn most of the time. The photos also showed two lounge chairs, but there was only one. We asked for another, and while the staff said they would bring one, it never arrived.

Another major issue was the internet. It didn’t work in our room or at the pool. When we mentioned this to the staff, they said the issue was with our devices — but we tried multiple laptops, iPads, and phones, and none could connect. They said they would notify maintenance, but nothing changed during our stay. This was especially frustrating because we chose this hotel hoping to relax on the terrace or by the pool while getting a bit of work done. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible.

While the staff were friendly and apologetic, none of our concerns were ever resolved. For nearly $500 per night, we expected a higher level of attention and basic functionality like reliable Wi-Fi. Overall, a disappointing experience given the price and expectations.

Perfection
Pros:

Gorgeous. Spotless, well kept property. Rooms are well appointed and of good size. The location is spectacular. Mijas Old Town is a steep, hilly walk up the road [20 min.]

Cons:

The roads leading up and about the resort are in need of desperate repair. Drive carefully.

Parfait.
Pros:

Cet hôtel était parfait pour déconnecter et se ressourcer. Les chambres sont magnifiques et chaque détail est soigné. Le restaurant propose également des plats de qualités au petit déjeuner et au dîner. Le personnel est particulièrement charmant et sympathique, avec un clin d’œil particulier à Lucia qui a su être aux petits soins pendant notre séjour. Nous recommandons très fortement cet établissement !

A true slice of Spanish heaven!
Pros:

CasaBlu is an incredible property with beautifully curated grounds, decor and scenery which create a truly authentic, luxury experience.

All the staff were exceptional with excellent communication via email prior to our stay and in person during our stay. They went above and beyond to welcome us, make us comfortable and provided us with expert local knowledge of the area when we wanted to arrange some sightseeing & explore.

The food & drinks were fantastic and the menu choices ensured a variety of options catering for all moods, with some truly delicious authentic local cuisine.
