Serengeti & Stayover

Jeg har slet ikke været der, jeg mener stedet har en forkert opsætning så de fremgår i forkert sammenhæng!!! Jeg søgte efter overnatning i nærheden af Broløkke Herregård på syd Langeland og deres sted poppede op, er da helt forkert!!! Jeg afmeldte og tabte mine penge, virkelig surt show!

I had originally booked to stay at the Serengeti, yet was redirected here to Kilimanjaro despite having received confirmation of my booking from booking.com at the original place. (The owner had advised that Serengeti had been overbooked).
I asked for a partial refund as this other place is somewhat cheaper, yet this proved to be far too difficult (particularly as I had already received confirmation and at this point the room was not cancellable). I decided to just accept the offer. The owner blamed booking.com for the mixup, which seems to be a common theme to justify extremely poor communication.

At approximately 1AM, a man tried to enter my room using the information that had been given to him by the owner. After mutually comparing notes, it appeared the owner had sent us both an identical message indicating which room to use. Fortunately for him there were other rooms available. This was obviously not the best experience, and I am lucky that the guy was reasonable. As a woman travelling on her own, this was quite scary and most unwelcome.

On top of that, there was no hot water in the morning.

Not a great stay with clear issues with communication. (Most of which is unfortunately done with chatGPT, using lengthy totally irrelevant paragraphs of waffle).

Trying to call by phone is pointless as calls go unanswered.

Expensive linen & towel charges of 350 DKK a time render this place non-competitive. The owner has seemingly forgotten that her core market is contractors working at Kalundborg, rather than couples on holiday.
Marketing it as a 'love hotel' really is quite comical.

The ‘standout feature’ of this room (I.e. bathtub) is not even in working order and leaks all over the floor.
In spiteof this, the owner still advertises this as a fully functioning feature, which is rather disappointing for those genuinely expecting an indulgent bath experience.
Additionally, on this occasion the bins had not been emptied from the previous guest. Neither was there any shower gel/toiletries available in the shower, despite these being listed.
Finally, the owner now charges an extortionate 350 (!!!) minimum charge for linen & towels for 1 person, per stay.
This sneaky charge can be easily missed as it’s not included in the amount paid to booking.com…be warned.

Soundproofing is poor. Rooms are better however if staying upstairs. Never any shower gel in the bathrooms.
Owner sends you a bill for 350 DKK after your stay for linen & towels.
The wifi password on the automatically generated messages from booking.com is not the correct wifi password.
There is no air conditioning.

Despite the booking confirmation promising free toiletries and bathrobes, there is nothing ‘free’ of this sort.
Absolutely no toiletries available, which is annoying particularly for site people (construction workers) who look forward to having a shower after work.
Free bathrobes? I don’t think I have ever seen a bathrobe there. And certainly not one provided free of charge.

The owner already charges an enormous 350 DKK for sheets and linen per stay (one pillow only), which you can look forward to being asked for after your stay, however brief it may be.

I was initially a bit puzzled about the ‘person free’ check-in when I arrived. I had not expected this, but that might be my own fault for not reading the small print.
I did not know which room I was in prior to arrival, and this information took a little bit of time to get once I had arrived.
This really did not affect the quality of my stay however, as I have booked to go back again!

Es ist nichts auszusetzen. Alles war in Ordnung und für eine Übernachtung vollkommen in Ordnung.
