Fat Lips Surf Lodge

If I could give 100 stars, I would.

Staying at Fat Lips was honestly one of the most unusual and unforgettable hotel experiences I have ever had, in the best possible way.

The hotel itself is fantastic: everything is clean, well maintained and comfortable, the air conditioning works perfectly, and the location close to Cloud 9 is absolutely ideal. But what truly makes this place exceptional is the owner, Tim.

Tim is not just a host, he is genuinely one of the coolest and most generous people I have met during my travels. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel completely welcome. Since he also owns a surf shop, he immediately helped me out with a surfboard. Instead of a normal scooter, I even ended up with a proper motocross bike. He took me surfing, brought me along on an incredible surf charter, and we even went on a property tour together.

This was far beyond anything you would normally expect from a hotel stay. Tim has lived on Siargao for around 15 years, knows the island extremely well and is simply an outstanding person, relaxed, authentic, entrepreneurial and incredibly easy to talk to.

I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. Fat Lips is not only a great place to sleep, it is the kind of place that makes you feel connected to the island from the first day.

An absolute recommendation.

The location is very convenient, close to many trendy restaurants and bars and most importantly to the main surfing area cloud 9. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Had a great stay here, even though it was only for one night. The room was comfortable, well presented, and we slept like a dream. The view was beautiful and the whole place had a lovely feel to it. Big thanks to Apple for being so friendly and helpful. She showed us around and explained everything we needed to know. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay again.

Amazing stay at this surf lodge! The place has a very chill and relaxing vibe. Our room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our stay. Special thanks to Apple who personally checked us in and made everything easy for us. She was very friendly, professional, and explained all the important details we needed to know. Wir hatten einen perfekten Aufenthalt in der Lodge. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es gibt im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften gratis frischen Kaffee, Trinkwasserspender, Regenmäntel und alles, was man sonst für einen unbeschwerten Aufenthalt braucht.
Die Lage der Unterkunft ist perfekt zum Surfen, denn es sind auch fußläufig Surfspots (bzw. die Bootsablegestelle Kanaway) erreichbar.
Tim und sein Team sind extrem bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Bspw. haben sie uns einen Transport vom und zum Flughafen organisiert.
Besonders hervorheben möchte ich noch Julius, der unseren Aufenthalt mit seiner offenen und netten Art perfekt gemacht hat.
Abschließend möchte ich erwähnen wie praktisch es war, dass man bei FatLips nicht nur schlafen kann, sondern auch Mopeds und Surfboards ausborgen kann.
Wir kommen wieder. 100% Empfehlung.

The owner Tim is very helpful and friendly, as well as his team!
The location in the back road makes it quiet but still in the center of Cloud 9 and next to the beach and a lot of restaurants.
The guide book Tim wrote was very complete and made you navigate smoothly in Siargao.

Fat Lips Surf Lodge is a gem — cozy, perfectly located, and dripping with surf vibes. But the real soul of this place is Tim, the owner.

Perfect accomodation, the lodge situated in very quiet place, surraunded by rustic houses, for sure you will hear roosters and dogs but it is much better than hastle road. Two lovely dogs live there - Mia and Tiger, they are so friendly, affectionate, are always in a good mood. The room is spacios, there is everything for comfortable stay and work remotly, the desk and the chair are the best, shared kitchet is avaliable. Tim is an amazing host ans super nice man, please spend time and learn his detailed 72 pages guide from the oficial web, you won't be regret, it really help during stay in Siargao.

We loved our stay here. everything about it was perfect. the staff were lovely especially tim the owner who took time showing us everything about the place and was always there to help if we needed. they rented us a motorbike and surfboard for a great price too. the rooms are clean and comfy and all facilities are great and the place is in a perfect spot.
