Excellent accommodation, friendly staff and great food
Kenny and the staff where amazing breakfast / lunch / evening meal portions were huge and delicious. Rooms were very comfortable and spotless . We were well looked after and will definitely be returning. A mention to the dogs Jack & Paddy .😎
Nothing
The Kings Head is just one of 'our places'....not to far from home and yet you are 'away from it all'. Great place, great staff and the location itself is just so peaceful. We cannot praise the Kings Head more. The owner and team as a whole go above and beyond every time. Lovely people...lovely place. We cannot praise the Kings Head more.
Nothing at all....its all lovely...
The cosyness of the place and room and staff and owner was lovely. Food was excellent, good value for money. We loved it that much we've got another couple of bookings at the King's head over the next couple of months and this time we'll be taking family with us. We can't wait to return at Easter. And then again in May for my husbands 60th Birthday.
That due to work commitments we couldn't stay longer.
Friendly staff
Comfy bed
Outstanding location. Exceptional facilities. This is about the 8th visit to Kings Head. Could not recommend highly enough.

Comfier seating outside
I'm a regular guest here, whenever I visit the UK. Kenni,Fiona and ALL the staff make me feel so welcome, that it feels like a second home. The food and drink are excellent and reasonably priced. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Well done, this the best Inn that I have stayed in. The local customers are friendly as well.
True Northern hospitality.
Exceptionally welcoming warm and comfortable on our very cold winter visit. The service was attentive and charming without being obsequious and the food, solid tasty fare without being overly complicated. A good range of options inc vegetarian. Nice to see locals present and enjoying the bar and pool table.
Not much. Slightly cool dining area at breakfast after the lovely warm fires of the night before, but I guess it made sense not to light the fires for breakfast given the low occupancy at our visit.
Breakfast was exceptional, cooked to order and very tasty. Staff very friendly, room was lovely and lots of little touches to show owners have thought about providing an excellent experience. Restaurant food very tasty and keenly priced. Overall really glad we found this gem of a place and hope to revisit in the near future.
Ravenstonedale is a great location just off J38 of the M6 - 10 minute drive or so. The Kings Head itself is just brilliant. Kenni, Fiona and the team are just first class and will do all they can to make your visit or overnight stay special. There are so many lovely attention to detail touches that are so well thought through. Whether this be for two or four legged friends. Forgot your reading glasses or tooth brush...no problem. Fancy a round of golf at the course down the road...no problem...a set of clubs are there. Whilst we were there a gentlemen was not very well and he was dealt with in such a kind manner. In turn a four legged friend was not well and the easy option.....'here is the number of the vet'. No...! Not Kenni and Fiona...they accompanied their guests to their own Vet nearby. This is just the measure of these fine folk. Their care and attention at The Kings Head make it a very special place to visit. We have booked for the same 3 days next new year already. That will be our third time of doing so. The locals are friendly and welcoming. Good food, fine beers/drinks, lovely rooms with comfy beds and breakfast is amazing. Above all caring, hard working friendly owners and staff that make your visit extra special. Thank you all...! See you soon.
Absolutely nothing.
