This hotel feels like a very charming boutique motel, and I absolutely loved it. The pool is amazing, the breakfast is very good, and everyone, from reception to the housekeeping team, is incredibly kind and welcoming.If you are lucky, you can walk along the trail and encounter horses and other animals. The river is just a short walk further down. The place is extremely peaceful and perfect for stargazing or watching the sunrise. I highly recommend it!

És ideal. Hem estat una setmana al mes d’agost i ja és el segon any que venim. S’hi està molt bé, és molt tranquil. Està tot molt ben cuidat i el personal és molt amable.
També tenen una gata que és un amor i molt carinyosa, si t’agraden els animals. I, si no t’agraden, la gata ni la veus. 😊
De l’allotjament no hi ha res que no ens agradi. Només dir que l’accés, amb dos ponts petits i una carretera estreta, és una mica incòmode. S’hi passa bé i sense problemes, però no és un camà ample.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The Hotel Les Planes del Grau is listed as a 4-star hotel, but my wife and I consider it superior to other 4-star hotels we've experienced. The staff are excellent, friendly, and treat guests with the utmost care. No small detail is overlooked. Rooms are clean, comfortable, well appointed, and tastefully designed. The soundproofing is excellent; it was amazingly quiet even with small children in adjacent rooms. Rustic farmhouse vibe meets modern comfort.
The food was of the highest quality, with ingredients from nearby Catalunya farms. We enjoyed the abundant breakfast each morning (included in the stay) and chose to have dinner most nights at the hotel, as we appreciated the high quality, good value, and excellent service. The location is surrounded by farmland and natural landscapes, the perfect place to go for scenic walks and hikes. Bikes are available for rent, both regular and e-bikes. We rented regular bikes, which doesn't seem to be a common activity for other guests. More common is enjoying the clean and spacious pool!
Some things to consider: you need a car to reach the hotel, as there is no public transportation or taxi service to the hotel (we learned this the hard way and arrived in Sant Joan de les Abadesses by bus); also, if you are used to an early morning cup of coffee, you will need to adjust to the local rhythms and wait until the customary 9 am breakfast time (although the staff graciously allowed us to arrive at breakfast as early as 8:30 am); and if you are vegetarian, you might have some challenges finding protein options that are suitable for your dietary restrictions. This was true throughout our travels in Catalunya, not just in Sant Joan.
Overall, one of the best hotel values, if not the best, we've ever experienced. We're already planning our next visit!
Les habitacions estan molt netes i són agradables. L’esmorzar és bo i el personal que el serveix molt amable. El jardà i la piscina sóm preciosos. El restaurant fa una cuina casolana correctÃssima.
Faltarien més zones comuns interiors. Algunes persones que atenen la recepció i el bar restaurant són amables peró no tots i costa de trobar-los quan necessites alguna cosa. És un hotelet encantador però no té nivell en instal.lacions i serveis pel preu que cobren.

Està situat en un lloc idÃl.lic, al costat del riu Ter. Molt tranquil, tot netÃssim, tot preciós i en bon estat. L'hotel en si, el jardà amb hort propi i tot, la piscina netÃssima i sempre disponible amb dutxa al costat i tot.
Perfecte per a famÃlies però també per a parelles amants de la natura i la tranquil.litat. A L'habitació tot molt net i espaiós. Fins i tot hi havia un petit balcó cobert perfecte per a llegir i admirar les vistes. L'esmorzar també tot bonÃssim i els croissants estaven calents i tot. Per a sopar vam prendre uns gaspatxos de fruita espectaculars! Un lloc molt recomenable.
