Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was nice, a previous reviewer mentioned the clear window in bathroom for room 10, we stayed here and i have to say if anyone could see in that window they have more to be worried about than whos in the shower, its practically in the roof with no building overlooking it.

Cons:

It is a listed building so didnt expect high end but everything felt a little grubby, like doors, handles, stair rails and like it could use a deep clean, also the fan in the room had enough dust to make a felt bunny.
We stayed during a heat wave, be warned do not book this hotel in hot weather, we almost cooked on the second floor, spent the night with wet towels over us to stay alive, in hind site if the heat hadnt affected my brain i would have left and found somewhere else.
A pity it would be a very nice place given a good clean and perhaps a better fan system in hot weather, i know there could be no air conditioning given the buildings status but there are good options out there for in room standing.

Due to the issues we had experienced the manager was kind and gave us a full refund the next day.

Pros:

Location and car park.

Cons:

Though we only paid £70, the smell in the corridors was horrendous, the state of the carpets and decor was to put it kindly poor. And the fact that laundry was left in public spaces was not good.
