Not the cleanest of places but full of charm
Pros:

Bed comfortable and linen clean… really like the quirkiness of the place with a being such an old building

Cons:

The bathroom for room 10 looks out over the car park with the shower directly in front of a clear window with no blind… felt like a flasher at points! There was rubbish in the bin from the previous occupant and on dropping my charger I bent down to pick it up and noticed a thick layer of dust on the skirting board next to the bed!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay
Pros:

This old coaching inn exhibits all of the charms of a Grade 2 listed building. Food in the restaurant was discounted for residents, though no breakfast is provided. There are however a couple of places providing breakfast nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay

Met expectations of the price point - a good night’s sleep, but no frills!
Pros:

Nice, central location in Newbury. Quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Larger room than expected and nice and warm.

Cons:

Uneven floor in room, which wouldn’t suit everybody. Could benefit from a large overhead light, as a bit dark! Plug was jammed in the sink, so water wouldn’t drain away. No tea provided in the room, just coffee.

Bargain Break
Pros:

Ideal accommodation for a group of blokes attending events or the races like us - very comfortable bed - great location for accessing what newbury as to offer with an added bonus of free parking & the price was exceptional

Cons:

The height to access the shower & get out in room 5 was a bit precarious if u slipped

Pros:
