I got the view of the mountain. The proximity to everything. I like that the reception desk is separated from the entrance to the rooms. The safety deposit box, the water dispenser and of course the amazing staff. They are very accommodating. Very nice people. They helped me book a last minute tour. The person who cleaned my room: thank u. U paid attention to details. It's not a 5 star hotel and it has its flaws. But I don't care. And of course the cost is very reasonable as well.
You can leave the air conditioning running the whole time even if you are out. Perhaps they can upgrade it to turn off whenever the guest is away. Such a waste of electricity.

What I liked about Palmera was the spacious 3-bedroom villa, which was big enough to comfortably accommodate our entire family. The size and layout made it easy for everyone to have their own space, which we really appreciated.
The stay was lacking some basic amenities that are important for a tourist accommodation. There was no proper place to hang wet swim clothes, which made things inconvenient after beach activities.
While I understand that water pressure in the Philippines can be low, there were frequent moments when there was no running water at all. At one point, my husband was left waiting in the shower with soap all over himself because the water stopped. Unfortunately, the warm water in the shower wasn’t working either.
There were also daily power interruptions lasting about 1 hour about 3 times a day, and this is something that really should have been clearly stated in the listing beforehand so guests can manage expectations and plan accordingly.
The receptionist and the rest of the staff were very friendly! We arrived past 12noon and they let us check in early.
The size of the AC wasn't enough for the room. We had to use the prvoded fans to cool the room. No closet to put our stuff so our room was always messy.
Absolutely nothing apart from the location.
The property is the closest you can get to being banged up abroad. Dusty floors, hot, small, dirty bed sheets, infested with insects and not to mention a construction site on the back of the property of which was not mentioned at the time of reservation.
Lovely staff and good location. Good shower but we stayed for 3 nights and didn’t have room cleaning, fresh towels or extra toilet paper (we had to request these). The pillows are very very uncomfortable!!
