Had a sea view room. Bed was very comfortable. Room was large.
Firstly we did not stay at East Cliff hotel as when we got to the hotel there was a note on door saying Hotel closed. Go to Carlton next door if you have booking and they can help. The staff helped and took reservation. The parking at this hotel was expensive £20 a day, breakfast was expensive @£14.95 per person. And booking. Com never informed us that East Cliff Hotel was closed, as they only open Friday and Saturdays according to staff at Carlton Hotel. So as was my 60th birthday get away was not amused. At least when you informed Hotels when we have been abroad of a special occasion they have laid a little surprise on. The room we had was very nice, but thought your company would have known East Cliff was closed.
The large room and bed. Friendly staff.
Found that we were stopping at the Carlton - only after arriving. It would have been nice if we had been advised of that before arrival. Only realized when I walked up to the door of the property!!
The £20 for parking!!
Staff were all excellent. Room was fantasti
On the front
Lovely family room
a little tired in places too many steps if disabled
except the quite location there was nothing likeable about this hotel (I booked the Bournemouth East Cliff) but was moved to the Bournemouth Carlton ...
I booked the Bournemouth East Cliff by Belvilla only to find out that there was a note on the main door suggesting that I go to the lobby of the neighbouring hotel (Bournemouth Carlton Hotel), apparently part of the same group, where i will be helped. On reaching the hotel lobby i was told that I would be given a room at the Carlton and seeing the condition of the Bournemouth East Cliff by Belvilla i guess I should have been pleased !! but NO.
The gent at the reception asked for me to enter my car registration so I could park at the back of the hotel only to be told by another ladt at reception that I had to pay £20 for 24 hours parking !!! A total RIP off !!
After checking in (had driven almost 5 hours to get there) I asked if there was any water in the room - curt anseer - No Water but i could take a glass of water from the lobby to my room! Pathetic - hotels typically provide a bottle of water!
I then enquired about the WiFi. which refused to connect after trying all devices ! none of them would connect to the Wifi. I also enquired if there were any shops around where I could buy some water etc - the persons at the reception said they did not know, I decided to go for a walk and find out for myself.
The room was big but fittings, fixtures, paintwork, ALL very dated, tacky and poorly maintained. When I checked in there was a dirty towel left in the room !!!!
Not much
We couldnt get back in hotel was stood outside from 1am till 3am in the frezzing cold, absolutly fuming night watchman was asleep, worst hotel ever never booked a hotel and been locked out before..Will never stay here again.Avoid Avoid...Also parking £20 for 1 night
Nothing
I booked a cheap stay at this hotel, I messaged them to ask about parking and never had a reply. Drove to the hotel to find the whole place closed and no staff on site. There was a note on the door saying to go next-door to the Carlton hotel. I never received any messages from the hotel about any of this which is totally unacceptable.
I was given a room by the Carlton hotel which was okay but the parking for the one night was £22 ! Outrageous price for a guest staying at the hotel so I had to find cheaper parking elsewhere. Complete chaos and a parking scam
Please can you adjust the name on the website as this hotel is not Bournemouth East Cliff it's name is Charlton so spent an hour looking for the East Cliff Belvilla
No telephone number for us to call direct and confirmation of our arrival time so no guarantee they would keep the room also the kettle had no extension to make a drink and the shower didn't work at all
Location was good and beautiful. Close to the beach which I truly enjoyed and loved.
The hotel building is very old and urgently needs redoing. The room needs new carpet as it smelled horrible. Change of a bed mattress would also be good.
The venue doesn’t exist!
Booking.com really need to do an audit of their listings to avoid customers having a hard time with bookings they think are bone fide. This venue isn’t even open. The phone number listed on the Booking website isn’t operational. The “Contact The Property” goes unanswered. The address is for some location in the middle of the road and not even the intended location. After driving around looking for the location without success I ended up having to ask a local who sent me down the road. When I did find the location it’s closed and there’s a sign on the door saying to contact a different hotel entirely - The Carlton!! The staff there were great and they were super apologetic saying the hotel I’d booked is no longer operational and they get a lot of customers who are upset as a result.
Lovely fews from the balcony
Having to pay £20 to park at the hotel which i didn't see mentioned until we parked up
