It felt warm, peaceful, and very welcoming — almost like visiting family upstate. The atmosphere was cozy, the property had a lot of character, and it was a perfect place to relax
There was nothing I truly disliked — the place has an old-fashioned style, which actually added to the cozy upstate experience
Great location
Temperature fluctuations in the house- cold then hot. Had to find the thermostat in the owners private bedroom.
Cold shower.
I was attending a wedding at the Belhurst Castle in Geneva, NY. The residence was within walking distance. It was extremely convenient.
It was my first time sharing accommodations with the owner present. Felt a bit strange but Craig was very kind, accommodating, and generous. We enjoyed our conversations with him and his neighbor, Joe. He offered wonderful recommendations for activities, wineries and restaurants.
Location
It was advertised as a hotel and had a sign as a hotel, but the owner was actually a house and the owner was living in the house, and the bathroom was shared with two other rooms. The ad was misleading, and another couple that was there had the same impression.
the water for the shower was cold. The tables were all set so there was not a [lace to sit down and eat.
The hosts were very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the place was very clean.
great house, great hosts, great location, good value!
cleaning fee should be disclosed earlier in the booking process.
shower a bit small
Craig was so welcoming, helpful, and warm. As mentioned in other reviews, offering their electric bikes which were premium- allowed is to enjoy the local bike trails.
Love the all day coffee, back patio for outside yoga and wineries in the area.
First of all the apartment is shiny and clean. The apartment is very special in its ancient design but very modern in systems, Google in every room, televisions, Xbox console...smoker, barbecue, pit fire and more. The owner of the apartment received us, gave us a tour of the house and showed the place (outside is amazing). Just perfect.
I have nothing to mention
Our host Craig was the bee's knees!
Location perfect ...short trip from downtown Geneva.
The host was very kind and helpful.
This is a family's home. Rooms upstairs have been converted into hotel rooms. This was not what I expected.. If you are comfortable staying in a strangers home this is a really nice place. However, we never expected to be staying in someone's home. I should have done more research, perhaps, but the ad for this location should more clearly state under what conditions you will be staying in when here.
Very cozy warm and nice place! Highly recommend to stay more than 1 night here)! The hostesses are very kind and cool!
Clean and comfortable, which includes being well air-conditioned during a heat wave; friendly and helpful host; lucked into the one room with its own in-suite bathroom (the other rooms share a bathroom out in the hallway)
Very clean and peaceful inside. Outdoor could use a little attention.
Deck needs some attention. Dirty carpets. Maybe a good power washing to get rid of cob webs. Firepit was over full with ashes.
fallen Tree is a lovely inn. We had trouble finding it since we had no GPS. A larger sign placed closer to the road and at a right angle to
the house would have helped. The host was very sociable and kind. Use of a washer and dryer was appreciated.
No one was home when we arrived. Apparently instructions for us on how to access the room was sent to Booking.com but were not forwarded to us. This caused us some anxiety after a long day of driving from Maine.
