Definitely one of the best places to stay in Galle, especially for the price!
Pros:

Everything was just amazing! One of the best locations for sure, great breakfast, comfortable room, friendly and nice staff- especially Mishari, the receptionist, was super helpful. Loved staying here

Very cute
Pros:

Very central. Bed was very comfortable and the room looks lovely. Breakfast area looks gorgeous and food is generous.

Cons:

Did not have a bar fridge, would have been handy to have to store a couple of bottles of water as it was extremely hot outside.
There is a cute small balcony but no seats or table.

Peaceful haven in the busy fort area
Pros:

Great location in the heart of the fort. Very comfortable room with lovely facilities

Cons:

Sink needed fixing but staff very responsive when we told them

Pros:

The location was excellent. It was quiet. The room was comfortable.

Cons:

It could be a lot cleaner, it was not serviced, we had to ask repeatedly for toilet paper. The breakfast was inedible.

Siituated perfectly in the Galle Fort
Pros:

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in Ivy Lane which is situated perfectly in the Galle Fort. Easy access to shops, cafes, restaurants and the fort ramparts (great for watching the sunset).
Bed was large and super comfortable.
Shower was large with good pressure and hot water.
Room was air conditioned.
Our room was on the first floor and had a private balcony.
Breakfast was substantial but no Sri Lankan options available.
Would recommend.

Great location.
Pros:

Great location in the centre of town but still quiet at night. Our room was spacious and the shower/bathroom was great. The design of the hotel is beautiful.

Cons:

The breakfast was average (western food only) and took a long time to be prepared, we were disappointed. The third bed in our family room (in the loft) was uncomfortable and only really appropriate for a child.

Overall ok
Pros:

Location is perfect for Galle fort.

Cons:

Its under renovation. A king suite booked for 4 people can sleep 2.5 persons only. Bed on loft area is a small crib. Extra mattress was full of bugs and was some 500 yrs old :-(

A gem of an hotel.
Pros:

The location was excellent, close to all amenities. The property was beautiful, modern and clean. Everything you needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent.

Superb location, very comfortable heritage hotel
Pros:

Good size room in character with this Heritage hotel. Comfy space with own courtyard (room 5). Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location within Galle Fort giving easy access to all the areas of interest.

Cons:

Personal preference - western breakfast options only, would have also liked a Sri Lankan option. We have got used to this during our travels.

Excellent location ..
Pros:

The location in Lighthouse Street is fabulous. Price point excellent. Bathroom, also excellent, was a good size. Staff all very nice and obliging.

Cons:

Unfortunately I was allocated a room of very uncomfortable configuration. There was one huge bed, way too high bed at lower level. And then a lift up narrow, steep steps to a single bed. Not a chair to sit on in the room at all. To access TV it would have been necessary to go up and down those steep steps. Tip : carefully check the room type and details when making a booking.
Breakfast could be more professionally prepared with more care taken when cooking eggs. Also "butter" provided was awful. I had to go out and buy my own (Anchor) from Cargills.
