Location
Check-in. Dinner was very good. Room was clean and comfortable, also larger than expected.
The Real Ale was like vinegar (Probably been left in the pipe and not pulled through). I don't think it had been tasted before start of service.
A clean and comfortable hotel. Staff were friendly/helpful and the food was excellent.
N/A
Excellent location as my husband has mobility issues and everything was close by. We were given a ground floor room with accessible ensuite facilities. The hotel staff were extremely helpful.
Friendly personal welcome from reception staff. Character property with spacious room. Excellent home cooked food. Fan in room on the hottest day of the year.
Nothing
Lovely hotel, good quality, really nice room.
Lovely decor, very comfy beds, excellent food
Bit noisy if room faces the street
Gorgeous old building, smiling staff, loads of atmosphere. Comfortable seating for drinks or a read. Step out onto the High Street for cafes and eateries, right next to the Park and ancient Pershore Abbey. Definitely a 5 star stay.
Well run
Large room. Shower and bath.
We had my mums dog with us and they even provided a dogs bed, bowls and bag treats.
We even got a bag of biscuits on the first night. Nice tailors tea and coffee. Brilliant
Driving to car park..lol a narrow road under pub.
Very clean , spacious , staff were great , pleasure to stay there
Only having 1 night there 😂
Very comfortable room
All good
Location and facilities. Lovely beer garden and field leading down to the river. Food was good
Nothing to comment on everything good
The location was convenient for the town centre, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The building itself was interesting, and the fields at the end of the path led to the River Avon, which was nice.
We stayed, with friends for 3 nights - a party of 6 people. The evening meal on the first two nights was good. Therefore, we decided to eat there for the third night - a Sunday. However, the evening meal was an absolute unmitigated disaster from start to finish.
Almost everything went wrong. (1) half of the menu items were off. When we ordered we were told about some of them; then the waitress (who was the manageress) came back to say that further items were off. This continued through all 3 courses (2) The soup was cold and had a skin on it (3) the prawn cocktail bread was not fresh and had some horrible margarine on it (3) most of the vegetables were cold (4) the gravy had a skin on it. (5) even the prosecco was not as nice as the previous evening - it tasted sugary! (6) the food generally was not nice and cold (7) the table was dirty and they did clean it when asked (8) service was slow - a lack of staff (9) the chunky chips were soggy. We did wonder if there was even a chef in the kitchen!
The manageress was apologetic and did not charge us for the deserts, by way of an apology.
When we checked out, the guy before us who was also checking out also complained about the food -so it was not just us.
Also - breakfast was table service - not a buffet. As the hotel was clearly short staffed, the service in the morning was also slow.
Generally disappointing - as otherwise the hotel was fine. It seemed to be consistent with management keeping the hotel short-staffed. Unwise!
Food, both dinner and breakfast were really nice. Our room was small but perfectly ok for one night and the public rooms were exactly what we wanted. Comfortable and friendly.
A stronger shower would have made a difference.
