Pros:

The place where the Hop Inn hotel signage was is a turn off.

Cons:

It took time for us to get the keys to the second room. We were there in the morning and we were told that the 2nd room was still being cleaned and that they will being us the key since we checked in to the first room. We left for shopping after awhile. When we came back in the afternoon, we were told again to wait for the keys to the 2nd room as it wasn't ready yet.

No electricity, no water = nightmare
Pros:

The location.

Cons:

I booked 3 rooms for someone else. I was informed at dawn, there was a blackout. There may or may not have a generator in the property. The other problem was that there was no water because there was no electricity - was what the staff told the guests. And the senior citizen guests have an event in the morning they have to attend.

The situation was just terrible. The rooms were booked for 2 nights but the guests checked out after Day 1 and transferred to another hotel.

Hop Inn informed the guests they will be refunded, we will see.

In fairness rooms are clean and the staffs are all kind approachable and supportive

Secure and comfortable
Pros:

1- Location - Close to fast food outlets for a very early meal or late meal, SM Lanang, SaveMore supermarket, Abreeza by Ayala Malls, and a big hospital.
2- New building, the pavement outside has not even been water stained yet.
3- Clean and well maintained common areas like the lobby, lifts, corridors.
4- Room is also a decent size, with security features I really appreciate including a safe and double lock on the door.
5-Shower and toilet are clean and roomy. Showergel and handwash liquid provided but no toothbrush or toothpaste (although this was mentioned on the booking page).
6- They provided two glasses, but no cups or teaspoons. So if you need caffeine to get you going in the morning, bring your own cup.

Cons:

1- Linen - Hotel bath towels and bath mat are threadbare, and there was no hand towl. I do believe hotel linen are key element of hotel branding, so it's a pity there was no attention paid to this.
2- Luggage Rack - For guest over 50yo this is essential, but there was none in the room. So I had to kneel on the floor every time I unpacked/packed or needed something from the suitcase.
3- Lighting -Only two modes: bright or total darkness. But there was no dimmer, pin lights, or small lamp  near the bedside table.
4- Noise - Get a room far away from your floor's lift lobby. People tend to chat very loudly all time of the day, even at 7am, and the corridor floors and walls are reflective which magnifies the noise pollution.
